I've only got the 'Out of memory' message (There was 90GB free harddisk space, so I don't see why this message was there, but that's another thing). What I think is that Lightwave 7.5 has some extra features in it's file-format and therefor the lightwave 7.5 files are not exactly the same and bryce doesn't recognise the file-format. I'm not very good with lightwave (30 minutes experience with version 7), and all this is just a quick quess. All that was said in this paragraph might be 100% incorrect. It's just a theory.

The Lightwave object format changed with version 6 and up. Bryce can only import up to version 5.6. Corel really needs to upgrade their LW importer for bryce. I use LW 7.5 and Bryce together but you have to save the object out in the earlier 5.6 format. Hope that helps in some way to lessen the frustration :-) RonGC
RonGC is right. Also, make sure you don't save your object as layers.

I haven't experienced this yet, but that's no conclusion cuz I don't mess much with the format. Two things to do. One, get the patches at Corel. If you patch Bryce, be sure to patch Lightening if you are on a network. Two, look into a file converter. Here are two of them.... http://www.xdsoft.com/explorer/ http://home.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/

Dear Brycers, has anyone came across the following: Bryce don't import *.lwo (Lightwave format), "saying": "an unexpected error has occured (invalid format)". It happens with the simpliest objects even (I tried experimenting with a cube). I have win2000, Bryce 5.01 (i. e. patched) and Lightwave 7.5. It happened on my friends's PC as well (win98, Bryce 4.01, Lightwave 7.0). Other formats (that should be understood by Bryce - *.3ds, *.dxf, *.obj) are imported and converted without any problem. Thanks a lot in advance, Anthoy Pontigary.
