Subject: Problems with DAZ Vouchers

ronknights ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 8:54 AM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 4:57 PM

Yesterday I tried to redeem my DAZ Survey Voucher for the Millennium Teeth. I thought they'd be the perfect compliment to Cake1's Real Eyes. The Millennium teeth are a DAZ product, and I'd get them for about $6 after the voucher. Unfortunately, DAZ would not recognize the Teeth (as a valid product for the voucher. I tried Many times. Then I decided to try for Stephanie's Standard Resolution textures. Yes, I got them. The price was the same for both products (13.96). I would guess DAZ has some sort of database to tell them which products qualify for the voucher. I guess they need to update the database? I love DAZ for giving us those voucher coupons and freebies. They really help those of us who are financially challenged. I was, however, disappointed somewhat. I did need a good commercial quality texture for Stephanie. But I could have used those Millennium Teeth on all the Millennium Characters, including the Kids! Now I'll need to wait till we find some more money or my wife is in a generous mood again... Message671414.jpg I just thought I'd let you know in case you can't redeem the voucher on one particular product. You might just contact DAZ via email. I bet they can help you. Ron

I can't even purchase through their site anymore. I have to call, which is a total hassle. I've mentioned it to them but they didn't seem to eager to suggest they could resolve it. Odd.

so i'm not the only one who can't get the freebie

I'm sorry you're having problems buying stuff from DAZ. I know they're quite helpful. I had problems and they sent me a special link to help out. Why are you posting links to Posercity in your messages. It has nothing to do with the topic. This thread was really to talk about problems with the DAZ voucher. Some folks might think a voucher won't work at all, when it may just be a problem with one item.

At least you've gotten your ($5.00?) voucher, Ron. I have no other problems with their site, even managed to download most of Questor's guns/holsters without difficulty, but haven't seen hide or hair of the voucher from the survey. Sure it'll arrive in time, though. They monitor this list, too, so they'll probably be on top of problems. Most, anyway, can't speak to Greybro's problems.

Ron, I post the link on any post I make. Sorry if you find it inappropriate. I don't. The link box is there to put your homepage in, so to my way of thinking, it wouldn't be if I should not be posting my homepage. It's not like I coded it in with HTML. Cheers, Brent

Ron, Sometimes the vouchers are coded not to accept items that come out after they do... or there is just a small error. All you have to do is call or write daz and they'll clear it up for you. I've had to have my voucher code updated before a couple times. Doug

I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.

ronknights ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 3:52 PM

WEll, Doug you know me. I'm impatient. DAZ is closed on the weekend, and I wanted something then. So I got Stephanie's textures.

sturkwurk ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 4:03 PM

yep, I know you're impatient, sometimes we don't have a choice but to wait. The Steph textures are nice too, I used one of them on my black canary come to think of it.

I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.

[memo to self: buy stock in a coal mine BEFORE the Christmas run-up in prices] I've had to call in my orders for months now (wretched browser). It doesn't take that much longer to tell them what I want. I can ask questions about compatibility and requirements and such before putting my nickles on the table, so I've never had a problem with something being unusable. And, most important, I can talk with some really nice people who are proud of what they do. A word of thanks makes their day. Carolly

DAZ recent $5 credit for taking their survey is accepted on purchases as a gift certificate, not a coupon. There are two choices at the lower left area of the purchase window. Make sure you enter your code into the gift certificate option, not the coupon option. Try it. It should work...

ronknights ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2002 at 8:46 PM

Mark, believe me I read the email and did the right thing. For some reason DAZ's system will not accept the Voucher for the teeth.

My voucher didn't work for the gorilla stuff either.

DAZ3D ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 2:33 PM

Hey Everyone, Well after much discussion here at DAZ, we have decided to extend the 30% Store Sale for another week. It will now expire on July 1, 2002! With the extension, you should be able to get the $5 voucher from the DAZ survey and use it in conjunction with the sale. The sooner you fill out the survey, the sooner you get to spend that $5 at DAZ. Remember to download earlier rather than on the last day, so ensure that no problems will occur. Enjoy! AnneMarie DAZ

Well I just used my five dollar credit...I had to use it under the gift certificate option to make it work...Didn't someone else already state that above????

kennect ( ) posted Sat, 29 June 2002 at 8:19 PM

And BTW, I just reread the email from DAZ...It states to enter it into the "gift certificate" field!!!!! Pretty simple but something I initially overlooked....
