Poser's driving me freakin' crazy! I have my interface set just the way I like it, but every once in a while, it starts up with the picture shoved way up in the corner so I can't grab the title and drag it back. I know I can restart in factory mode and move everything back the way I like it, but its a major pain in the ass. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, is there an easier fix?

try going under Window/Document window size and changing the size either bigger or smaller and see if you can move the window then. On the same subject, what bugs me is how the names of the dials are half hidden under the numbers. hope poser 5 fixes this!

Yes, there's an easier fix. After you get everything straightened out again (the hard way), use the UI dots to memorize your workspace configuration. The next time it gets screwed up, you can use the dots to restore, and you won't have to restart Poser to do it.

Jerr-- I've tried your method and it doesn't help. It just gets bigger but stays in the corner. LD--I'll try your idea. I never use the UI dots, so I forgot about them! I'll let you know. Thanks to you both.

Make sure you have the latest patch. I use to have this problem too. Ron

Make a backup of you preffered state pz3 in the Runtime:prefs directory. Then just restore it when this happens. Have to close and re-open poser though.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

Yes the UI dots is the best way but once I had this happen to me before I'd set that up. What I did was type "po2" (no quotes), which brings up the Poser 2 interface, followed by "po3" which returned me to a correct Poser 3 setting.

Let's take the easiest and best way. 1.) Edit, General Preferences 2.) Launch to Factory State, Use Factory State 3.) Click OK. Now you're back to Normal. 4.) Make any changes you want, go back to Edit General Preferences. 5.) Select Launch to Preferred State, Use Previous State 6.) Click OK.

RonM--I have the latest patches and ProPack, so I don't think that's the problem, but thanks anyway! RonK-- I use your method to set my preferred state to what I want. The problem is that every once in a while, Poser decides to change it by moving the picture up to the corner where I can't drag it back to where its suppossed to be. But I think using the UI dots will help keep it in line. Thanks for your help, though!

Note - easiest and best way is defined by personal preference.

I'm just glad when someone licks that pesky problem!
