Welcome Bidsy, I posted an identical plea a few months back, between the FAQ here and the URL I'm posting it eventually became easier. Poser file comprehension is somewhere between genius and insanity, I'm still learning, LOL. The pages at that website are a little rusty, what I did was print them out and referred to the charts each time I added new files. Tommy.Poser files are easy to learn once you work with them General rule of thumb CR2- Character files If you remember that the c stands for Character it helps pp2 poser prop file Lt2 Light file CM2 Camera file Hr2 Hair file pz2 Pose (or Poze) file rsr's are the image files or a geometry file backup copy.(match those with the file of the same name like Camera1.cm2 and Camera1.rsr but not Camera 1.cm2 and camera1.rsr Png's can be the image files poser uses for propack users but I have also seen textures in png format too. jpg's bmp, tif are usually texture files. they go in textures. Not sure if this helped any but i hope it helped a little Storm
Another little tip to make it easy finding and opening the Poser progam files... locate the Metacreations or Curious Labs program folder (usually............... c:Program FilesMetacreations ) and right-click.. choose add a shortcut to desktop, Now you only need click it and then open the "runtime" folder. I have started another new folder (name it what you like) with sub folders on the desktop too, containing morphs, assorted textures, read-me instructions, and backgrounds, PZ3's and saved work that doesn't need to be in posers prog folder, just a way to avoid clutter and make these items a little easier to locate. Another newbie helpful is making a scrapbook page in wordpad, then any good text advice you see on the message board can be copied and pasted to the wp page for later reference without searching back through the forums. Get busy, Tommy.
