Okay. I'm nowhere near done. (This is not supposed to be Galen.) I'm not happy with the hood or the coat, they both need textures made as well as some other stuff. The picture was made in two places - the mage and clothes posed, and rendered in poser4 and the background made and rendered in bryce4. (highlights added to stars and eyes in PShop when piece composited) BTW The hood is from the lady's jogging top from poserworld. Still looking for a better hood. The coat is the trenchcoat from poser. Are there any morphs out there to remove the silly belt, add turned cuffs and change the collar? The morphs for the face are mostly from Traveler. The texture map is my creation. The shirts' texture (which you can't see very much) is also all mine. Any comments? Does anyone have a technomage ship model?

Cool! I like it! Have you thought of doing the whole thing in Bryce? You have much more control over everything there. Spike

Cool Lyyra On my computer the hood is so dark I thought it was actually the hair-might be the difference between the gamma for Mac's and Pc s though. Have you tried UVmapper? You could use it to create a texture map for the cloak. Eric Walters

When I'm done with the texture maps I'll import the models into bryce and render the whole thing there. I just didn't feel like doing that much work for a test run. :) I plan on a series of images - in the room you see (his garden/workshop), in space, in a spaceship corridor and at the Crossraods. Some portait shots, some action, possibly a fight scene. The hood should be deeper, and I need to add serious texture and bump maps to the coat. But when I just came back into this page and he loaded in he looked great. :) And yeah - I'll be releasing the textures and materials I've made when I'm done. Sometimes that deep materials editor is like voodoo. I use Getcoltex to get uv templates. That gives me colored mesh so I can match bits easier. And UVMapper bombs on my system anyway. :) As for darkness - my other systems seems to be a lot lighter than this one. I could actually see the collar of the coat there. I need to recalibrate my monitors again. thanks for the comments, Lyrra

Its here on poser freestuff - search under utilities. I just checked and it came up as number 13. Works on any obj as far as I've found. It only reads existing UV coordinates - so if they need to be mapped or remapped you need UVmapper too. Really really simple too. good luck, lyrra

Ok.. I thought it was a UV mapper type of program. Thanks Spike

Looks great, very lifelike. Though the eyes contrast a bit with the rest. The face is extremely well textured, but the eyes are just flat brown. If ya run this guy in an animation its bound to be a great piece of work.

I had actually made the texture for something else and just slapped it on this model. I liked it so much, I think I'm keeping it, so there will be two version of the texture - one with the technomage mods and one without. The eyes are straight from a photo, as is skintone. I think the original guy was hispanic of some flavour. I don't animate, but maybe someone will animate him once I release the texture. Even on a regular poser face the texture looks great. Thanks for the comments.
