Hi folks :)

Well this is my actual project, "Beach Beauty"; the thing I'm working on is the shore effect in the foreground. At this point I added an object with "milk" mat, a bold relief function and a transparency... I'm sure there is a better way to make it look "foamy" - does anyone have hints how to create a nice shore effect?? I'm new to this, please help. :)

Greets,
Karsten

Welcome Karsten, You can create grey scale images, import it as pictures in your terrain editor after resetting the existing terrain. Map it with milk and make it luminous (not glowing). Resize and rotate it in Vue to make it fit as you want it. Hope this helps:-) Guitta

Well I gave it a try...... Used the image idea from Karsten for a beach beauty. I think I have the idea but it needs work still.

Does anyone know of a way to make big waves? For surfing?

Thanks!

WOW, this looks great Whisper. Very natural. You could get a great beach umbrella at www.sams3d.com for free:-) Big waves are made with dunes. Have a look at my sample scene on the Vue extra CD called "waves". The above surfer image (very old)... were created in Vue 3 (imported Poser 3 figure). There is not one drop of water in it:-) and no post work. Just cloud material. Have also a look at gracia's technic here: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=740126#12 Guitta
