I just put these morphs up on my site. They're part of a Dina .cr2. I haven't tried it but they should also work on Vina D. The morphs would need to be copied from the Dina .cr2. These are rendered with each morph applied at 100%, but you can also dial them part way to reduce the size of Dina's default breasts.

I had to force-quit Netscape in order to escape from the above link - it just froze up solid after rejecting the first few cookies.

dcort ( ) posted Sat, 03 August 2002 at 3:37 PM

My site does cause Netscape to run really slow sometimes, and I don't know why. It's all server-side code and the HTML for the most part validates. I've found that it will eventually load the page, but it can take several minutes of acting frozen. The site also currently needs cookies enabled to track logins. If you can try it with IE, that usually works. Otherwise contact me and I can set up an alternate link.

Well since you mentioned VinaD, I'm still trying to figure how to finally make here useable. Here is an example of how a texture warped her nose, and made her look awful.

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sat, 03 August 2002 at 10:30 PM

crisjon, As explained in the other thread you mentioned this in, it isn't Vina that has a problem. All the Dina textures I have work on vina just fine. There must be something off on this texture map. Also, if you aren't using a transmap on the upper and inner eyebrows, either use the morph to get rid of them or make them so there's no highlight on them.

crisjon1950 ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 12:09 AM

I can't seem to get eyelashes on VinaD unless I use the Carmen morph. I seem to have that same problem no matter what texture I use. I noticed that dina doesn't install properly. That is why I never saw the "default" dina textures. And when I tried to use the mat, I kept getting a message asking me to find the texture that I can see in the selection box. No one ever answered that problem.

crisjon1950, you can find lots of tutorials to help you with Poser at http://www.ronknights.com Maybe you should ask about Vina at the forum where you bought her, too.

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 12:19 AM

If you have your Poser directory installed differently Poser will have to "look" for the texture. Just click on the correct one if it comes up in your window and Poser should be able to find the rest. Also, be sure you have the lash morphs set to one if you are using the default dina face. Her lashes are very short otherwise. Make sure you have a color applied to the lashes in the materials editor and a transmap applied. It's hard to tell what you are doing if you don't tell us. Perhaps you could post a screen capture of your material setting for the eyelashes? Also, what do you mean by Dina doesn't install properly?

And again, please write to me directly if you want faster answers. Don't expect me to necessarily see your questions if you post them in off topic threads. DTHUREGRIF@aol.com

And Sassy? Ron IM'd me accusing me of posting under different names, which I've never done. ::chuckle:: I may sign off with a different handle, such as Evil-OverMistress-of-the-UnderDark, but the header is always mine. People know where to find me... at least until I get the teleporter calibrated. ;^) Oh, and to slip back on-topic (gasp), Dan, you've done a nice job with that morph. Carolly

crisjon1950 ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 8:41 AM

I have decided not to use my real name as my main Renderosity alias. I have chosen to do exactly what the majority of Renderosity do. That is what I tried to impart to hauksdottir. I also explained the decision to reserve my real name for "business or serious stuff." My domain is under my real name, etc. If I release a tutorial or freebie, I will use my real name, since that is "Poser business related." My desire is to eventually "go commercial," and I wish any of those endeavors to be associated with my real name. That is exactly why my web site domain is listed under my real name. I will not change my policy or my mind on this issue.

Sassywench ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 11:57 AM

Hey Carolly :) Maybe take it as a compliment? Maybe he figures you're the only one smart enough to know its him! LOL Ron... I couldnt care less if you change your mind or policy on this issue or any other issue. I guess with 2 (or more) names you can answer multiple times in a thread or start many threads about the sames things, thereby making it seem that "others" have the same issues you have. And Dan... nice morph! :) And by the way.. I have Dina and Vina and havent had any problem with them at all! :) Sassy <---- Who isnt Carolly or anyone else but Sassy LOL

Dan, as I told you elsewhere, wonderful job on the morphs! I had tried to do this myself a while back, but my results were less than lovely, so I set them aside. You must have been studying those forms with great intensity to have achieved such realism :-) Ron, sigh, I must be loopy to even attempt to help you, as you are not known for graciousness. From your pic, it looks like the texture has been (way) over-optimized to get the file size down. I tried to download the texture, but the download would not work, (Maybe the texture has been pulled?). Without the texture in my hands, I cannot say for sure what is wrong, but you have also posted pics with a texture that works properly, so why do you think it is the model, and not that one texture? Should you not be asking the texture maker for help? Dan, sorry to sidetrack your thread!

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 1:27 PM

Yeah, Dan. Sorry your thread got sidetracked. You did a superb job on the morphs!

"Ron... I couldnt care less if you change your mind or policy on this issue or any other issue. I guess with 2 (or more) names you can answer multiple times in a thread or start many threads about the sames things, thereby making it seem that "others" have the same issues you have." I have already explained my decision, and frankly I should not have need to in the first place. Let me make it very simple for you. Most everyone here in this thread does not use their REAL names in the forums. I have finally chosen to do the same thing. There is nothing more sinister to it. I think maybe you need to find another hobby. *** "Ron, sigh, I must be loopy to even attempt to help you, as you are not known for graciousness. " On the contrary. I'm known for putting up with a rash of bull from folks such as you, and I refrain from insults when compared to those thrown at me. Now why don't you find something else to amuse you? Or make sure you're right when you throw the accusations out. *** Yes, I do agree that particular texture seems to be a bad one. I did bring out other concerns or problems with Dina and Vina.. of course they don't seem to be a priority compared to "conspiracy theories." Message671422.jpg

I think you have another hobby: looking for conspiracies and living up to your name: sassywench. *** While we're at it, why aren't you using your real name? Could it be some sinister plot? Or do you perhaps have some less sinister reasons for using an alias, and why would you object to someone else doing the same thing?

dcort ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 3:35 PM

I'm glad most people seem happy with the morphs. They were the result of many hours of exhaustive, painstaking research... LOL. I've been planning to do some stuff like this for Dina for a long time, it's just that I finally found a little time. I know her breasts are one of the major concerns people have had about Dina, so hopefully this will go toward correcting that. I actually did the flat morph first, then made the "natural" morph by stretching that. For me, at least, I've found it's a lot easier to make breasts bigger than smaller. If anyone else wants to try this with my flat morph I'll probably let you. :) No worries about sidetracking the thread. When one person throws the switch you can't blame the train for following along.

Ohhhh should I be insulted? LOL Maybe report you to an admin? hmmm...Nah... been SassyWench for 30 years, why should I stop now :) Use whatever name you want sweetie, I never said its a conspiracy, just a way of garnering more attention that you already garner and IMO thats just sad. LOL But enough of you either way. Hey Diane!! Any date yet for the release of your new male character? Dina and Vina needs some male companionship! :) Sassy ::Who only got into this because wrywulf might have wanted to know LOL:: ::Goes back to lurking and reading::

"Use whatever name you want sweetie, I never said its a conspiracy, just a way of garnering more attention that you already garner and IMO thats just sad. LOL" Again you fail to accept an explanation when it is provided. And one I shouldn't need to provide. "Maybe report you to an admin? hmmm...Nah... " For what? Nothing. By the way, I've been crisjon for about 20 years. I've just never used it here before. So what does that do to your little theory?!

Sassywench ( ) posted Sun, 04 August 2002 at 4:49 PM

Run along and play somewhere else Ron... at last count you're having "issues" in about 5 other threads in the first 4 pages here! LOL My heavens!! I wonder if that's a record! I guess no one understands you at all, poor thing :( LOL Oh Dan! I got Copperhead the other day... playing with her now! :) She's getting herself into mighty big trouble at the moment with a certain bee! {{I did bring out other concerns or problems with Dina and Vina.. of course they don't seem to be a priority compared to "conspiracy theories.}} Ron, I've asked you 3 or 4 times. What problems exactly are you having? You haven't answered. You've just made vague statements about MAT files not working, eyelashes not showing and Dina not installing properly. And repeatedly used an obviously flawed texture to imply that there is something wrong with Vina. WHAT isn't wokring on the MAT files? HOW is Dina not installing properly? The VISE installer has seemed to work pretty well for everyone else. Did you try what I asked you with the eyelashes? Dan or I will be happy to help you if you really want answers to your questions, but I don't get the feeling that you really do want answers. You just keep skipping from thread to thread asking the same questions and making that same vague compaints about Vina. Again, if you REALLY want help, write to me. I'll be glad to try to help you solve any problems you might have with our products. If you like, I'll even call you and walk you through installation. DTHUREGRIF@aol.com Hey, Sassie. I'd say we're about 1/2 way with the male, but not close enough to give a release date yet.
