Hi everyone! Basically, I was looking through the older images I submitted, and I came to realise that I have learnt rather a lot since submitting them... So I have decided to have a go at redoing a few, starting with my first ever submission =) Just wanted to know if anyone else has done that sort of thing, or what you guys think of the changes made, if you notice any! This image in particular has to be one of my fav's that you have done....she's such a beautiful girl...I like the changes so 'fess up what did you do here....

Basically I just smudged out some of the spots on her face and clothes, tried to tidy her eyes up a lil, cleared that bit of dark background and smoothed out those weird lilt wrinkle things on her jawline... for the colouring i just duo toned it and upped the contrast a little =) Oh aye and i isolated some of her features and separatley sorted the contrast on them, just to bring them out a bit more.... Yes Cat I have done this, with an Image that almost killed my photography by being so successful, I stopped taking pictures, as every image I produced was benchmark against it. The strange thing was that when I look at the original now it looks so ordinary and the reworked version is so much stronger, needless to say I have not entered it in any exhibitions, just in case. I like your reworked image my only comment would be to tone down the white area in the bottom left to stop it compeating with the face. :O)

Cat I guess you use Photoshop, you can try taking another shot of a pillow with some shadow detail then use this as a texture fill for the pillow area in your image you will then be able to play with the tone.

As for my re worked image here it is the original It was a transparency and would have been projected for exhibition selection, its a shame but the scan loses some of the punch of the projected image.
