I just knew they had to get you involved with the poses Schlabber, that's why you've been so busy lately, it's good to see CL got the best people in to make poser5 the best version so far :) Rob

Can't get it or onto CL homepage, DNS query for "http" failed : host not found.

works for me, Bug - did you click on the 2nd link from Anthony ?? the first link is wrong ...

c1rcle ( ) posted Fri, 23 August 2002 at 5:24 AM

The first link is ok if you take off the extra http:// that 'rosity likes to include when you add links to messages :)

No luck last night either after numerous tries with Netscape and one bad download with IE. Think the server was just overloaded - got it first try this morning. Used IE, didn't have to Control-click or anything fancy. Congratulations Anthony, looks great; looking forward to the hi-res version. Great decision to pre-release the manual, Steve! Off to read :-) Elisa/gryffnn

I'll wait for the linux version of poser 5. (Stormrage may not, but I will) I'm not buying anything unless it is ported to linux. (gotta fill a big change jar for maya on linux ) Anthony, for some strange unknown reason, the link tried to save the file as Poser%205%20Manual.pdf the spaces didn't convert back to text in the dowload. ~L~ it came down no problem, just had to change file name.

Bug ( ) posted Fri, 23 August 2002 at 6:40 AM

Yup, must be some heavy traffic, thousands of Poser users try to download a file over 3 megs must be really be giving their server a beating. I finally got in on about the twentieth try, so I guess my weekend is shot now.

All I can say is thank goodness I didn't see this thread until this morning! I was up 'til midnight on a Poser project as it was. (I get up early for work every day.) I wouldn't have slept at all. Now I have to sneak some page prints here and there at work. ;-)

Hmmm, No printing allowed, we'll see about that... later jb

Nosfiratu ( ) posted Fri, 23 August 2002 at 11:32 AM

I disabled printing on the low-res version because the images won't come out well (80MB of source files compressed to 3.3 for fast screen viewing). If you want the high-res (16MB print allowed) version, please email me at docs@curiouslabs.com. Anthony Hernandez Curious Labs

cool! (I hate reading manuals at the best of times even more so on a screen) Cheers! later jb

Anthony, Will we get the 340 page printed book in Poser 5 package? Or just a CD in a big empty box? I read better with a book and a candle. I can't stare at computer 14/7. My eyes need some break sometimes. Waldoo

Anthony stated in another post that it does indeed come with a manual. Rest easy.
