Hi! I am trying to remap one of my existing characters. I exported figure1 (p4nudewomen) as .obj Opened the obj in UVMapper and redid the maps then saved the new obj file and imported to poser Now all morph targets are gone and the whole char is one object, no more bodyparts to move or pose i am a novice in this can anyone tell me what i did wrong?

I'd say this stuff is a bit advanced for a novice to be trying. You have to remap the OBJ file from the geometries folder, put it in a new directory and point the .CR2 containing your character to the new OBJ and directory. This means editing the CR2 by hand to change the references pointing to the OBJ file. If you're not sure about what you are doing you could easily overwrite your original OBJ file and have to reinstall Poser. -JH.

i am not that much a novice to overwrite my geometries ;-) but thats exactly what i found out, thanks jeff seems p4 does not export all groups correctly to the obj so I have to use the default p4 nude woman obj (or a backup of it) just tested and it's working but what about all the morphs i did to my existing model do i have to do them again with the new? or is there a way of saving them and applying them to the new char?

The old CR2 for the figure should contain all the morphs, just point it to your new OBJ and directory. There are two references in the file that have to be changed by hand.

heya; just for reference, don't export an obj from poser; just open the geometries obj directly in uvmapper. :)
