That looks like Posers infamous smoothy effect. Is it just the one area, as it appears? If you're using UVMapper classic, you're limited to slpitting the whole model, and as you noticed this makes the whole model blocky. UVMapper pro can split specific groups, and/or split by angle, which gives a lot more flexibility. I don't know how you're making this, but if you are using a modeler, see if it has some kind of slpit vertices command, in Lightwave you select the polygons you want and either use the unweld command or simply cut and paste the polygons back into the model. I'm sure other modelers have similar functions. It looks like if you selected the outer brace/ridge polygons, and split them off from the tube, it would fix that. Regards- Lemurtek
