Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 4:30 pm)
In the first part, i mean the same like you. In the second part, my opinion is ==> Dumb questions don't exist, only dumb answers. For them who has a question this couldn't be dumb, he/she wants to learn something. Thats the point why he ask for it. If we see questions in this direction, we can/must give better answers. SHARKEY
I agree Robert and Maz. I have learned a HUGE amount through this board-and like to think I have helped a few people in return in the last couple of years. No question is too dumb. At some point all of us looked at the Poser interface (2 for me) and said "huh!" Of course I dont look at the Poser2 interface anymore-:-) Eric Walters
I once had a teacher who said that there is no such thing as a dumb question, because there's someone else who is dying to ask the same question, but isn't brave enough to ask because he/she thinks it's dumb. So a lot of useful questions could go unanswered because so many people are afraid to ask. Just ask away. The question isn't dumb, probably something someone is wanting to know the answer to, but is afraid to ask. We can't always guarantee an answer, but someone here will certainly try. Melanie
About 2.5 years ago I got Poser and Bryce - I learned an aweful lot lurking at this site until I felt confident enough to post an image. Since then, I haven't looked back and the help I've got for other apps since has been excellent. Never be afraid to ask a question, or ask how something is done, or put up an image for comments/critique. Everyone here is very friendly and we don't bite :) Somebody here will be able to answer your question. Paul
Hi Folk! The real dummy is the person who for whatever reason doesn't ask the question and yet tries to do it anyway, and gets it all wrong. Often the resulting damage goes beyond self-inflicted harm and hurts others. Hey--I'm being paid to teach this stuff to others, and I'm not embarrassed to admit I don't know all the answers. This forum is and will continue to be a tremendous resource for me. When I'm not sure about how to get something done with certain software, I will tap into that resource, because the advice I get here is usually better than what I read in the manuals or reference books. Let's keep good forums like this one going. Peter (Dr Zik)

..... how gratifying it is to see the new names that keep appearing in the posts here. I want to see this community grow. About two years ago (maybe less) we didn't exist at all and look at us now. Wow!! So, how about the rest of you lurkers that look and listen but don't post? Come on, let's see some of your work. We don't bite, and we were all pretty useless to start with and we've all still got an awful lot to learn. Post examples of your efforts and ask away with your dumb questions. We (well most of us at any rate) don't mind how dumb they are. We all asked dumb questions once. Better to ask a dumb question than keep making the same old dumb mistake. Long live the Poser fraternity and may it go from strength to strength.
