Under the menu of OPTIONS, you should be able to change the SIZE of each image's resolution to whatever you choose. And under the same menu, the PREFERENCES has a popup window to allow many specific settings to be made. Under the tab for 'Spots and Images', if the Antialiasing is checked to be ON as the default, then the saved image size will be half of whatever you set when rendering at a particular resolution. I use the default setting for an anitaliasing option. :-) Good luck on learning the use of Fractal Explorer. There are several different ways to use anti-aliasing within FE. Depending on the detail of the image, you may just want to render your image at 2x the final desired size, save as a .bmp image, then use an outside graphics editor (Photoshop, Paint Shop or ACDsee, for example) to resize your image to get rid of unwanted "jaggies" or artifacts, and then to convert your image to a more file size friendly format such as .jpeg or .gif. If more AA is desired, then you can choose one of the AA options. I always start with the least powerful (AA on 3 points) and render at 2x final size. The AA options can be fine-tuned by going to the options-->preferences-->graphic tab and using the slider bar to determine how much "in-place" anti-alias to apply to each algorithm. Sliding the bar to the right will increase the amount of AA within any given AA option. After saving your Anti-aliased image, you may need to use a sharpening filter to bring back some of the detail that was lost during the resize/AA application. Have fun with FE! It's a fabulous program ;-)
