Subject: Does Daz's Victoria have "issues" with Propack?

I'm pretty new to Poserland, and notice that Victoria is the standard in female figures. The realism is awesome, and I would like to order the CD but am curious as to whether there are problems associated with using her with Propack. I plan to open animations with her in Lightwave. Anybody know if this works? I did a search and didn't get any results. Thanks...

Nope, she works fine with ProPack, you will need a lot of ram though, I'm running with 512mb & it can be very slow loading Vicky & posing her. Just make sure you have either the latest version of Poser 4 (4.03), or you get the patch from Curiouslabs, and the latest patch for ProPack. I can't help you with the lightwave question but ProPack does ask if you want to install the lightwave plug in during installation. Unfortunately I don't have lightwave. You could try the lightwave forum, someone there may know

No not as far as I can tell. Are you ordering vicky 1 or 2?

Thanks for the reply idolitry. And for Tirjasdyn... good question...I dunno what to do. I am a little bit confused here. I obviously would like the best version for my dollar, which I would assume would be Vicky 2. But; when I went to the Daz website, I see that Victoria 1.0 is $69.00 and Victoria 2.0 is $59.00. I was kinda thinking that you need a preliminary installation of Vict. 1 and then have to purchase Vict. 2 as an upgrade, but maybe I'm wrong about this? I'm really confused about the different options here, and to add insult to injury there is the "millenium collection", which I assume is something else again. What do you recommend? For system configuration I am running a P4 1.5 GHZ with Windows 2000 and 1GB RDram. Thanks guys...

I had the same choice to make when I first bought Vicky, option No1, or option No2. In the end I went for Vicky 2, from reading messages posted here by other members Victoria 2.0 (to give her her posh name) has more morph options & is generally better to use. You don't need a preliminary installation of Vicky 1 to install Vicky 2 (unless you plan to go via the upgrade path). I'm running a P3 500 mh with win98. With your spec you should have little trouble running anything you buy for poser. A lot of people hereabouts reccommend as much ram as you can cram in, poser uses lots when rendering (if you plan to render in poser & not lightwave, I don't know how ram intensive that is when rendering). People hereabouts are very friendly, if you need more advice just hollar!!

You'll also need to buy textures to put onto Vicky, I reccommend magnet, just search for him in the marketplace.
