Subject: Programs keeps locking up...

Hi. I was wondering if someone has any idea's on how to fix this. I just downloaded the milenium dragon from daz3d, along with the poses. When i open poser, and try to open the character to start "playing", poser freezes, and i have to control|alt|delte it, because it does not respond. Why does it do this? I have had this problem once before with a prop from the free stuff section, but i deleted the prop. I would like to keep the dragon, cause it looks cool. I even tried to hand move each file, to see if that would help, but it didn't. Normally, poser never gives me any problems. Is there someone who can help? Thanks, M.E.

Several people seem to have reported this problem. The best solution seems to be to reduce all of the textures to 50% or less in a graphics editing program, particularly the bump maps. If the problem persists, you might try deleting the Geometries .rsr for the dragon....

can u explain how to reduce the textures? i never have time to sit and exploit poser to its fullest when i use it. i just use it. thanks for the reply.

Using your preferred paint program, open the texture files you are using for the dragon. Select each one in turn and resize the image to 50%, or whatever size you prefer. Save the altered files with a new name, so as to preserve your original textures. Once you have done this, open the dragon again in Poser and change the texture settings to point to your new files. If you are using Poser 4 you will have to re-create the .bum files.
