Oh man no problem. I love to share techniques... It was done in PSP.. :) Its a heavy PSP image. I got the PSP manual out lastnight and started reading it...oh my god! I got a few ideas and decided to try them this morning. I rendered 2 images of the man. One with a rock shader and another with the skin. Brought them both into PSP layered on top of each other. Rock layer on top. I then used the eraser in PSP with my Wacom tablet and set the erase so it was pretty opaque.. I just started dabing away at the rock layer to reveal some skin.. Fun to play with. Many times you will see this done with wire frame as a layer...so you see the figure going from wire frame to skin or rock or what ever. Clint

If you have photoshop you can also do this kind of stuff with a mask. Make a gradient mask. Then load it as a selection onto one of the layers. Then erase the selected area. Might be able to a gradient transparency in a similar way as well.
