I realize that many folks here haven't gotten P5 yet -- and you're anxious to see SOMETHING new, so I quickly rendered the P5 kids. Nothing special, just a straightforward render. And, yes, they ARE called Will and Penny! I just got it an hour ago and this is my first render (it takes a while to install). This is an exciting new upgrade to our favorite software package, but it will require some "book learning" before I can do something truly new. By the way, a BIG THANKS to Anthony Hernandez for writing the Poser manual that we've ALL been waiting for. With the illustrations and color plates and all, it looks GORGEOUS!! --jjsemp

how long did that take to render? was it using firefly or poser4 renderer? details details :)

Hehe, thank you. :) Hmmm, they're actually kinda cute gasp

I used the Firefly renderer - but here's the catch. According to the manual, it only renders the new P5 Firefly. Everything else is invisible. (just kidding) ;-D I DID use the P5 Firefly renderer for this and it took about about a full minute to render. Raytracing and texture filtering were turned off. The same setting was used with this image of Will, with his new jacket on. --jjsemp

Same image again, rendered with the Firefly renderer, this time with raytracing and texture filtering turned ON. Rendering time was 1 minute and 50 seconds.

I like that jacket!

Niles ( ) posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 5:04 PM

LOL , he does not have a thingy, but he has something... i don't what it is or if it should be surgical removed, but he has something down below .

emaleth ( ) posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 5:17 PM

Niles, You will find the dress & skirt and some other clothing items in the dynamic clothing folder. The clothes you list above are set up to be conforming. Take another look. :) Karen CL

Geez, I must be dense or something, I just now got it. All the P5 figures are from Lost in Space. Duh! How could I have missed that all this time? JDexter

emaleth ( ) posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 5:27 PM

LOL!!! You got it! They're not the Millennium Kids, they're the Robinson Kids. ;) Karen

Here's another image of Will. Every time I try to post, Renderosity "hiccups" and loses everything. This is my third attempt to post this. Will is wearing the combat pants, sweatshirt and hiking boots. They are all conforming clothes. This took one minute and ten seconds to render in the Firefly renderer with all options turned ON. --jjsemp

Can we see how they look with hair? It's a little hard to judge their faces when they're bald like that.

Orio ( ) posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 7:21 PM

The clothes look great!!

WOW The clothes look really really great! -but the face, that must be a mistake, or??? It might be my eyes, but there is something wrong with those proportions IMHO.

c1rcle ( ) posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 3:32 AM

Zrincx they look just like my kids when they were about 5-6, the proportions are right for a change :)

Zrincx ( ) posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 3:37 AM

c1rcle; Really? -but as said It might be my eyes, its just that, hmm, I think he looks like a "adult man", as if the head just has been added a Balloon morph! (no offence!!) The body proportions seems to be ok however.

c1rcle ( ) posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 4:37 AM

that's supposed to be baby fat :) they're chubby in the face till they hit about 7-8yrs then they thin out and stretch usually.

Orio ( ) posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 2:04 PM

I have to agree with Zrincx, the faces look like they've been on helium therapy ;-b) Hoping in some morphs though. I wonder if these kids can wear the clothes for Mill. Kids.

c1rcle ( ) posted Wed, 11 September 2002 at 2:07 PM

tons of dial twiddling needed probably ;) lol helium therapy, what a gas ;) "groan what an old joke"
