Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
"This is poser 5's own measuring scale, right?"
No.
"Not something you whipped up?"
Yes, I just "whipped it up" about 3 years ago.
It is a prop that I made in RDS (to scale - feet and inches) and then imported into Poser and I use it as a "standard." It seems to work pretty well for me. I'd be glad to send you a free copy if you would like. Just email me:
geep@cybertrails.com
This FREE offer is good for ANYONE who would like a copy of this prop. It is not available for d/l on the web because I do not have a web site.
cheers,
dr geep
;=]
P,S. The prop zip file includes a 12 foot scale and two metric scales, 1 meter and 10 meter.

OK dr geep, Now I understand. I thought this WAS the poser 5 measuring system. I'll take you up on the offer and mail you, since it would be quite useful to me to have some kind of stanard system to measure. As far as the figure height goes, I looked through the poser 5 doc (quickly) and couldn't find any reference to it. It'll be hidden away somewhere, no doubt. mac
Will do, ron. Just send an email to: geep@cybertrails.com and I'll send one by return mail. cheers, dr geep ;=] P.S. I do it this way so all I have to do is "reply" to your email (with the prop file) and I don't get your email address wrong. ;=]

Just stack 3 of 'em ...(make sure they're aligned accurately) Then ... Export with all 3 selected, then "import your new 3M prop and save to library. ;=] P.S. after import, check to make sure that the "origin" is at 0,0 (before you save back to props library) or it will be more difficult to position it. ;=] (again) ;=]

Just for photos, geep. I designed a site during the web mania thing. LOL There's also a link on it to a second site which has a few old flash animation experiments, but some of the pages are poser prop pics. Unfortunately, not downloadable. I have 40+ free props at 3D Commune. Just search for maclean. macThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible.
