Normally you use programs like rhino or similar only for modelling.than you use uv-mapper( free at www.uvmapper.com) for making a uvmap of your object, a paintprogram for the textures and than you put it all together in poser. by the way, follow the link,at poserpros there is a modelling forum where all those things are covered and great rhinotuts for clothesI agree _ Flamingo is completely non-essential. Rhino is my modeller of choice and there are some great tut's and forums out there. Also have a look over at Xurges Rhino forum/tutorials over at rDNA where conforming clothing is discussed. If you are in a position to benefit don't over look the academic discount.
Thanks! You guys just saved me $300! I'll skip Flamingo. Also thanks for the tips on tutorials. Gaz, I couldn't wrap my brain around ZBrush. I had the demo for about 8-9 days, spent an hour a day or so, and at the end of that time could locate the palettes but still had no idea how to put it all together. So I had to let that one go, although I was intrigued at first. Hats off to you and your ten yr old!
With regards to Zbrush, check out www.pixolator.com. The forum there is full of hints, tips, tutorials any many excellent examples of what can be done with Zbrush. Well worth checking out. I know I have been banging the drum for Zbrush quite a bit, but having had v1.23 for ages and never getting to grips with it, I came across the site listed above, so started learning how to use it. Now I don`t model with anything else. Give it a chance :)

Newbie with Poser 4 and have been looking at modelling programs for doing clothes, hair, etc. I like Rhino best (except the price..., gulp) but am wondering if I have to get Flamingo, too, for textures and rendering. My question is, will the textures import into Poser (and then into Bryce)? I don't want to spend the extra bucks for Flamingo if the textures don't travel well.
