Subject: How much better is P5 in extreme poses?

We all know that with the P4 figures, and Vicky as well, that any pose that involves sitting, bending over, kneeling, arms above head, arms behind back, hand touching face etc, nasty problems appear in the mesh. What experience have people had so far with the P5 figures in this respect?

I saw a post several days back showing that it's still there. It's a mesh/JP problem.

Oh, it wasn't evident in the Judy model but had another probelm. Looked like "buldging" as I recall.

The big difference to me is that I can use poses with clothing on the figures that I could not do before. As an example I can clothe an item of clothing on a character like a dress and have the character sit down. Couldnt do that before. Ron

Well, well - it's more a question of the characters (except that topic of fitting clothes) than actually the Poser-version ... For me it's hard to compare Vicky <-> Judy and Don <-> Mike. As I was starting to do do the P5-poses I first started by using some of my free Vicky, Mike - poses and trying to get them over to Judy, Don ... For single poses this worked quiete well but not for combined poses ... I would say that the new P5-characters are easier to pose - especially in the head-neck - area (somehow I hate it to pose two neck-parts instead of one) - other interesting features like the possibility to pose each toe on it's own are simply not so usefull for me ... (well - maybe later on ...) - In the arm-hand-area the new P5-characters are more bendable than the DAZ-characters - but in the hip-area (leg also) I like Vicky more then Judy. I (personally) really love Don ... He is (in my eyes) a bit more male than Mike (no offend please Dan (Farr) :o) ) - but this depends on your own POV (I think). Oh - yeah - speaking of extreme poses ... : I think on Sunday I have the first series of combined poses for P5 up (for free) - should be around 80 various poses for Judy and Don - then you can see for yourself how much extrem a pose can be :o). Happy posing Schlabber

I've been a little dissapointed in the new Poser 5 people, they still don't do large frame body types the way that Micheal and Vicki two can. As for who is more manly, I still think that Micheal has it all over Don. I think that Don is simply Dork Jr. In the conforming clothes category there is still the same problem with things poking through the clothes that shouldn't be. I also thought the collision detection would correct for this, but it doesn't. At least they have a selection of clothes for the children this time, unlike Poser 4 which either offered kids nude or with summery clothing on.
