Attached Link: Mimic page with updates

Hi, I just found out that DAZ has updated Mimic to support eyeblink for many of the millennium figures: - Stephanie - MilBoys - MilGirls - Vicky - Vicky P4 No Michael though :-( (I wonder why) If you're a Mimic owner like me, you'll be very interested in the updates! Hope that Mike can be supported soon, too.

This is great...and what may be even greater...they are doing something with Mimic....not just letting it sit as is.

Hi, Orio: It is a great news. I downloaded the updates but can't get it installed. Could you pls tell me how to install the updates. Thx. Pat

I wonder if DAZ intend to update mimic as a stand alone application as it is to support either Poser5 andor its own program or whether they will be incorperating it into there own P5-a-like program. At any rate its great to see Mimic has been updated, personally ive been having great fun with it on a couple of projects.

DAZ went Duh! They forgot the file extention on the updates. Just download the file, right-click it, click rename and add " .exe " to the end. Now it will loak.

Saw that the other day when I ordered it. Thought everyone knew. Mimic arrived today, got it installed on P5. Now to figure out how to use it!

Hi, Dalliance: It works now. Thanks for your help. Pat

You create the wav file that you want to use...you can use any recording program. Start the mimic program. In the top window you will see that you need to load the wav file. Then type in what you said in the wav in the window below. Mimic will do the rest. When you open poser, under the poses you will now see a mimic folder...and inside are your new mimic "poses" that you create. Load up the char you want to use and hit the pose button. I alway turn off the IK when I use it. Then play your animation. Marque

Orio:

They didn't provide an update for Michael because it's unnecessary. His eyeblink morphs were named properly from the start and already work with Mimic's pose files.

They did forget to include an update for Victoria Reduced Resolution, however.

The stephanie one is not working: "No matching files found" It seems they misspelled stephany as stAphany

Also very strange how different the programs behave, different screen and dialogues for basically the same action to be performed. - For the MilGirls you have to find the file yourself, manually. - For Steph (or Staph :) it tries but it does not work even if I manually select the file - For Victoria2 and Victoria2 P4 it is an all-automatic script.

Has anybody informed DAZ of the "staphanie" problem? I'm sure they'll fix it if they know it. Good to learn that Mike is OK :-) Others have replied to the questions addressed to me so I don't repeat the answers :-)

What is this supposed to do exactly? I just tried Vic2 after applying the update...I don't see any difference to the eyes.

I had to get the Stephanie update from 3/11 to get the patch to work. The original downloaded version of Stephanie would not work. Maybe that's the problem you are seeing? I got the same message about "no matching files" that you did until I applied the update.
