Trav, her elbow joint look better, but the knees seem weak , but probably a tiny improvement. What's your .02 on the joints? Compared to the Mobius Hirez detailed woman, is there any significant improvment? Mobius did some fine custom work on that lady. Always had a thing for her. Seems increasing the poly count is not that big a deal IMO. I will probably buy it since the Poser community will no doubt adopt her & make her better & better.
Pack: The geometry for the elbows and knees are greatly improved IMHO. They made them more realistic looking and the added geo makes them bend smoother. Increasing the poly count is one thing, but it also matters how the geometry is structured. In the face for example, the geo is set up to simulate facial muscles and movement areas. The body is set up in a similar manner, which will allow us morphers to make her into a huge range of ethnic and body shapes.
I saw the Grey's render of Millie a few days ago... I wasn't blown away either but I know textures and morphs, from the members here, will greatly improve her... She looks a tad older than the Poser 4 female which is probably good.. Only thing I didn't like (from Grey's render) is her booty looks too flat... I sure hope you do a butt uplift on her Trav in the near future.. =) I'm sure I'm gonna get her as long as she doesn't go over $200, then I might think long and hard about it... According to the thread she will come with a transmap hair piece and Zygote will come out with cloths soon after...
The face on the P3/P4 has always seemed a bit flat to me, somehow. Maybe it's just that most of the expression morphs seem to lie on one plane instead of "wrapping around". I could be completely mistaken in this impression. How does the new face look in profile? There is a 3/4 at the PFO link that JeffH provided.... Whether or not the price is worth it depends heavily on how much she becomes the standard in the Community at large. Howzabout file size? How does this model stack up against the old ones that way?

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
LOL yeah I hear ya Jeff!... $100 might be too much for me too.. I'm not rich and I don't think many here are.. I was just thinking of Zygote's skeleton and how expensive it is at 194 bucks... If they keep the cost down they can sell her in volume... If not, then only a select few (with some extra nickels) will have her, and that would be a shame.. I know I'll be left out .. =(
I'm not sure what to think right now either...for me it depends entirely on the morphs, textures (assuming the current P4 ones do not work) and extras those in this forum create for her. I used Poser 1-3 strictly as tracing tools for hand-drawn art...then I found this forum. :) And IMO, even $100 is a joke - until someone pays me for my work, I'll fix the joints in Photoshop. I do not speak as a representative of DAZ, I speak only as a long-time member here. Be nice (and quit lying about DAZ) and I'll be nice too.
I used to shop for humanoid meshes and I believe that $100 would be very cheap in comparison to other hi quality meshes on the market. I don't think it just has more polygons, it looks like the mesh has been reconstructed to "bend" in a much more realistic way. I think this will open the doors to creating more realistic work than with any of the current meshes being used. I also don't think the basic shape of the face or body are terribly important since these can be wildly changed with morphs. If she bends like a human, she's worth more than $100 bucks in my book (IMHO of course)!
I think this ne wmodel will greatly improved facial expression, a very important point. Also improving the joints is very important. It's so retarded when the joints look like broken cardboard. She wasn't that bad before in either respect, but these improvements are minor yet significant the same time. As far as price, I just hope there is a introductory special price, as usual. If you don't jump on it then, I'm sure I for one, will regret it. We have been spoiled by all the skillful generous contributions on all the Poser forums.
For most purposes, the present P4 nude woman model is perfectly adequate, especially if you don't bend her to extreme positions. With skillful use of morphs, proper posing, lighting, and judicious use of Photoshop, one can already come up with perfectly good renders of reasonably realistic humans as long as you don't get up too close to her or bend her large joints too much. Victoria would therefore be most useful in closeup work where lots of facial detail is important or where she has to do gymnastic poses and other stuff more suited to the Renderotica forum.
Guys.... just keep in mind what the poser dork looks like without a texture map.... All models without texturing look weird. As soon as I get the maps I will post a slew of picts for you guys :) As for the morphs, I have been sick the last 3 days and I am just getting back into the swing of things. I will be making morphs for her, you can bet on that :) -Trav
Nope, her mapping is completly different. The P4 maps could be rebuilt to fit her mapping with little problem though. She has two maps now, one map for the face, and one for the body. This gives nice big areas for the transmapped eyebrows and eyelashes! Also the eyes are built like real human eyes with even an extra layer for the whites for that glassy look. The toe nails and finger nails are mapped so you could paint realistic looking fashion nails etc. The ears have been mapped so that you can put some decent texturing and bump maps on them. The Nostrals have been mapped better so that you can darken them (there is also a nostral material :) ((Thanks Bloodsong!))
I dunno. I can't see myself paying more than $30-40 for a single model. And rarely even that. No matter how good. Zygote's stuff tends to always be overpriced. The only stuff of their's I've found to worth the cost in terms of utility has been the CD collections. As for this model; her 'pseudo-Mick Jagger face' is in serious need of a morph. :) at least in the first few posts over there at the other forum it looked very angular to me. A good face for an unattractive male; but it doesn't work for me on a woman. It does look from the wireframe here though that will be plenty of places to push and pull and so maybe a smooth face could be built. And some decent other ethnics. But I can't see myself buying in until there's a good list of free stock morphs and textures.

Gee Trav- I bet the face looks a lot better if you don't use a wide angle lens and push the camera right up to her nose! But I don't know about the crotch, like Allie said, women don't actually have their legs sort of growing out at a angle like that- but some of the strange "weight-lifter" lumps seem to be gone.
Let's hope it's just a 106% error on that head. I'd like to see more test renders. I'd really like to see some renders with different textures from multiple angles. Frankly, the more pricey they make it, the more renders I'll need to see. But beyond a certain point I'll just settle with the P4 woman. She's not ...THAT... bad after all.

I splurged and bought her she is beautiful (especally when you use her texture) she doesn't have some of the older facial morphs but she has a lot of new ones and everything moves smoother. I only played with her a little last night( it was late, but she is going to take a little getting used to she has more moving parts. She does look odd when she first appears on your screen( she has no color). I am really busy this morn. but I will try to do a quick render to show you what she can look like. Marge

As a lurking poser-holic, I traverse the Web and both Poser forums. I saw at PFO a few renders of the new Zygote Millenium woman AKA VICTORIA. Going to visit ZYGOTE to see if there is any more info (like price!) L8r!
