If I would have known how tough this was going to be I never would have got started on this, but I think I'm finaly getting somewhere. As shown is 4 shells (or layers), transparency maps ony, no texture or bump maps, maybe 1 or 2 layers to go. Some of the detail is in the shells, that was the key for me- that and using Detailer to get the maps exactly right. What ever happened to Detailer anyway? I bought version 1 a long time ago, was there ever a 2?

Looks Great! I hope you will let us all have her? And maybe also make her fit Millie, which I agree DOES make a better name for Victoria than the name her creators gave her ;) Detailer became Painter 3d, and a copy came with Poser, sort of one of those limited edition some portions disabled versions.

Fantastic work! The only criticism I can make is that perhaps the strands look too thick, like spaghetti, unless you were going for a wet look. Who would believe that photorealistic hair in Poser models created by folks here can look just as good if not better than those seen in Hollywood films using proprietary software running on SGI and Sun workstations worth thousands of dollars?

I agree... you might want to thin down the strands of hair, but otherwise, it looks awesome. Rosh

Looks great Jim. Really starting to look lifelike. So much so, someone might have to build a Poser brush and comb utility. Ha! Rob

I think you're doing a fantastic job on the hair! Yes, the strands are thick, would work for the 'wet hair' look. I'd love to have this when you're finished! Others might be using it on Posette, but I'm thinking of P4 Male. I need long hair like this for my Shadowclash characters. Good thing that hair can be resized to fit either male or female!

Looks graet, If you can find Painter 3D full version "on the cheap" it is much better then the SE version which came with Poser 4. The big advantage is being able to work with "floaters" wich are similar to photoshop layers. You can turn visibility on/off and nudge them in any direction to see a real-time effect on the model.

Looks more windblown than wet to me. Like she's been driving with all the windows open. Kate

Here's what it looks like from the front, after adding the 5th layer. I am goint to thin some of the strands down, I think, as well as adding some more finer hair in between. Oh, and I think there will have to be a version for Millie, too!
