Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 23 9:03 pm)
That's a wonderful comparison James. I suppose everyone will have their opinions, but I prefer Victoria (speaking of--what ARE we calling her?--some refer to her as Millie). I've been working with adapting textures today so haven't done anything else with her, but I sure like this. (Did you say you were going to put the curtains/transmaps in Bryce Free stuff?) Diane B
One more thing, No facials morphs were used, except the lip width on the P4NF. I wanted to do a Straight out of the box comparision. Off Topic: Diane, No: I will post the curtian on the Poser FS. They/it has a pull morph and Poser ready, all you need to do is add the rod and ties. I just need to find a home for it. James
Well I like the Victoria version much better ... The P4 has a bit cuter face but looses in the expression category. The legs on the P4 are just kinda broken. And although I like the breast shape on the P4 that is just my personal preference and Victoria will have morphs soon enough. Vicky wins for me ...
On the other hand... Most of the renders I've seen of the P4NF, including my own beginner attempts; looked better than this one. This P4NF has very odd looking hips. Much thinner than what I get in my renders. And her hands look smaller than what I'm used to seeing for her. I'd want to see a few more comparisions in a few more different poses.

There are things about MIllie that I like a lot. But I'm really anoyed about the genitals and the way the legs were attached leaving an improper crotch area. And the current face just has to go. While I think the face is easy; even I have learned enough to be able to make morphs for that; the legs/crotch/genitals is a more serious issue.

Laughs Yeah .. The baby is pretty dern wrinkled and unly .. They had an ungly baby decorating contest at the PFO that I thought was hilarious. But she does have some good expressions. Snarl and frown for both sides of the face, yelling, open smile, closed smile, the standard poser blinks and a bunch more that I cant remember offhand ..
Maybe it's my monitor, maybe it's my eyes, maybe it's my judgement, but the P4NF looks overall better to me. 'Kay, Millie's got her good points, but for an overall figure I like the P4NF (granted, I don't have Millie, so I'm only judging from this render.) Hey, I'd love to be proven wrong. But this won't do it for me, I still reserve final judgement.
Clink, clank, clunk...shadownet is still thinking ... a new thought is forming... Well, I decided that while Millie looks better in this render, but the problem with the P4 female's pose and face in this render can easily be improved with some tweaking - something that we had grown accustom to doing with the P4 anyhow, and perhaps more readily done than the Victoria figure will allow. So, still impressed with your image but deciding overall in favor of the P4 as being not yet suitably improved upon by Millie for me to replace her, just yet, with a new Victoria figure that is better in some areas and lacking in others - being just as problematic if for different reasons. Thus ends my final thoughts on the matter...back to other things. Rob
I'd like to see a comparison of Victoria and the Eve/gen figure available FREE at Trav's site, from whom Vickie appears to have been adapted--conceptually, at least. As a renderotica denizen, I'm of course interested in how Vickie looks, um, from behind, and with thighs apart--two of Eve/gen's greatest strengths, as it were.
Thanks for doing this. However, the problem is that you aren't taking advantage of all the things you can do with the P4 that you can't do with Millie i.e. all the standard morphs, not to mention the hundreds of user created ones. That's the whole point. The P4 is a FIGURE, there are lots of morphs for making her into an individual character, just out of the box, not including all the custom morphs. Victoria/Millie is a CHARACTER. She may be smoother and more expressive, but she is only a preset character. The P4 has some limitations you need to work around. You may end up tweaking dozens of morphs on the P4 to get her looking as good in a comparison like yours. However, the P4 has almost limitless variations in character via morphs, that Millie doesn't have, and won't have for a long time to come. I get bored seeing everyone doing the same character over and over. In this case, as is, I don't like Millie AS a character. As a figure, she would have great potential, if they had included at least the default P4 morphs! Sigh.
Sorry, I'm just not impressed with Victoria.....don't think it's worth $60 let alone $100......maybe if the price were half I'd be interested, but only as a novelty.....I think it would be a mistake for everyone to abandon the regular P4 figure just yet......wait until something better comes along......I don't see any significant improvements, and the bending of the joints only seems to be marginally improved.....
