Well I'm willing to add to the length. The weather has been pretty gorgeous here in the NW, which is a surprise because by now it's usually settled into the steady winter drizzle. Since we are so off topic anyway, have any of you ever changed the heating element in an oven, mine is broken and needs to be replaced. Lin
Well the last time an oven element went out, I called a repair guy, but I haven't got the spare money for that now. He seemed to have to use a wrench, if I remember correctly. I suppose I'll just have to crawl in the darn thing and look for myself. Maybe I can dress up as the Hansel and Gretel witch and at least get an amusing picture out of it.
Autumn is usually our best time of year here on the Central Coast. Summers tend to be very foggy (inland temps are in the 100s which sucks the moisture on shore. By October, the inland has cooled down and the coast is beautiful... clear skies with temps around 70 / 50 F. We're hoping for a rainy winter, we've been experiencing drought conditions; 5 inches less rain than usual. "They" are predicting El Nino conditions which will either bring floods, or no rain at all. Go figure.
Well it's been sunny and in the 60's in Colorado, perfect Indian Summer, no leaves left. Just today it was overcast, I hope it drizzles all week, we could use the water. If we don't get much snow (and it should have started by now) next summer we'll have a repeat of the Glenwood Springs/Durango/West Elk Creek/Frontrange fires. (It's very distrubing walking out your front door into a cloud of smoke)Our house backs up to BLM land (Bureau of Land Management) where all the wild fires start...can't wait for snow, snow, SNOW...

I've washed the car and all the windows of my house. Praying for rain. We need it so much here in California. Last year we only had a little over 3 inches for the entire year. Even the weeds in my backyard didn't grow. Today it is cloudy and cool - about 60. First chance of rain in a looooong time.

You are all praying for rain and here in the West of Scotland we're praying that the tap turns itself off. In the news last night on TV, we were being told that more rain fell in some areas, in a few hours, than was normal for the entire month leading to wide spread flooding everywhere. And they say that global warming is not a reality. Could we swap weather for a while guys......Please
