I'm almost working on the tutorial for "classical" motion, blur. But the "other use of motion blur" is already in:-). See in the tutorials section "Motionblur 2". Guitta [![guittalogo.GIF](http://www.guitta.net/icones/guittalogo.GIF)](http://www.guitta.net/)

Both, Motionblur 1 and Motionblur 2 are in now:-) Guitta

Cool tuts! I have been doing the both methods for a while now(and I do a different version of the background blur). That is the cool thing about the motion blur:Confusing at first when you don't know what you are doing, but after doing it once or twice it is a piece of cake and you can try new things with it. This will come in handy for many who want to learn it as it is simple and full of pictures. :)

Thank you Gabe, this information will be useful for my future Vue images. All of your tutorials have been great & you have a good one . . . Mark. ;^)

Thanks both:-) NightVoice, I use a picture for the background because it is easy to move, much easier then a whole landscape (the clouds, the atmosphere). And yes, it is fast and easy to create motion blur:-). Guitta

drat! even after refreshing - after even a reboot, your leftside menu will not appear on my xp pro system - effectively locking me out - what's wrong with basic html?

gebe ( ) posted Thu, 24 October 2002 at 6:30 AM

We found out that the menu will not load if you try to open my page on office computers. Many companies forbids to open Java applets. Try it out from your home computer. It will work. There is nothing wrong with the basic html, the page has be controlled and is perfect:-) Guitta

sigh - i am using ie6 on xp pro at home and can find nothing in help or options about java - trying to close security holes, microsoft no longer offers java virtual machine - could i need sun's huge jvm just to view?

gebe ( ) posted Thu, 24 October 2002 at 7:21 AM

Please first try the following: load my page and wait. Wait even if you see "finished" in the state bar. Try to wait 2 minutes. That's stupid and time consuming, but I need to know. I have for this menu class files for IE, Netscape, Opera and Linux. Are you using a different browser? I don't think it is a Microsoft Java problem. The direct links to the two motion blur tuts are: http://www.guitta.net/tutorials/motionblur/carmove.html and http://www.guitta.net/tutorials/motionblur2.html But I have many other tuts in there. Please keep me informed. Thanks, Guitta

Have also a look in the advanced of your Internet options. Mine is a french version, but there are things they have to be enabled.

roadtoad ( ) posted Thu, 24 October 2002 at 2:41 PM

Thanks for the attention -) esp thanks for the direct links, because waiting doesn't fix it, and there aren't any options for java in my ie6 options box like you show. Mine is a new Gateway XL700 system; and finding no java, I went to the m/s site to d/l their JVM and discovered it discontinued bcs so many people are being attacked through online java. Only fix is to d/l sun's huge distribution over a really slow dial-up; and having been hammered by an online virus, I'm dubious of the real need to have it. great tutes BTW !!!
