Is there any need to find a message like this "Hey Lurker; It is very easy to lurk from another's idea's; but very difficult to place and share the UPR to the UF List." under several images????
I do not think so. The UF list is not there to create artists out of everyone but to help with technical problems or encourage beginners. Since personal styles get mimicked very fast some people stopped posting there - but this is nothing bad IMO but a personal right.

And Joep - was it you who downrated the images where your lurker comment can be found? By what reasons did you do this? IMO - shame on you if it really was you.

It seems to me as if these kind of behavior and comments are initiated by jealousy and lack of self-confidence. They should simply be ignored. The author of these comments should better provide his artwork in order to show his artistic abilities. Downrating other images and writing irrelevant comments will never lead to what the author likes to get.

He seems to have given his motives some thought and removed his comments from the affected images.

Yes, I found it odd that this same message was posted with an image that I did all in XenoDream!? And, yes I do subscribe to the UF list and read when I am able--as where else is there to learn/find out any technical info concerning UF...especially about UF3!? Can't think of a single time I've tried to open/render a par file--just too many problems with my old machine/OS...and is why I decided to subscribe to hopefully find out what my problems were and if they were with me, or what. I also subscribe to several other artist/application lists, and don't participate on those lists either--again, I just read when and as I am able, etc. On any account, I wrote this person and politely asked if they weren't in error in making this post. I didn't ask them to remove the comment--just advised them of the above. I also didn't know that the same message had appeared on/with other messages. I see the message is gone this morning. Ya know...whatever...still is strange and a bit unsettling. Regards Bryan

I had a message similar to this on one of my images a few days back. I didn't even understand what the guy was trying to say. I don't read the UF list (I assume its a listserv) so I was even more perplexed by the message.
