Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
If you change the camera angle and then save your atmosphere, it will not show up correctly inside Vue, because Vue always creates the "thumbnail" (the preview image you will see in the atmosphere browser) from its usual side. Audity's atmospheres are a sample. Most of them doesn't look at all as they were shown in the free stuff. (sorry Eric, but I know that you know this already:-)). Same if you add spots or other lights to fake lightbeams trough clouds, they NEVER will show up in the atmosphere. This just to say: it is VERY hard to create new atmospheres that works! And this is a really hard challenge. rds, yes, I will create a new rules message tomorrow to make it easier. Thanks for telling me, I just had not the time to do so today:-) :-)Guitta
solemnchaos, I explained that, when you create an atmosphere, the preview image in Vue will show up only the part that is included in the classical camera view. As we wanted to create a collection of atmospheres, if somebody shows in the challenge a beautiful sky from a different camera angle and then give the atmosphere away for the collection, it never will look as it does in your picture. :-)Guitta
"if somebody shows in the challenge a beautiful sky from a different camera angle and then give the atmosphere away for the collection, it never will look as it does in your picture." That's great I think.. hasn't anyone else get tired of that Vue default fence object for example? Either way, rules are rules.

This is a part of the rules: No postwork on the sky. When creating your atmospheres, please absolutely keep the given camera angle as it is when Vue opens. That's very important, otherwise the thumbs will not show up correctly!! Guitta
