It's an interesting method. I can see why the geometry problems made it impossible to create the ears. If the result is a derivative of a Daz or Curious Labs mesh, then they might have copyright concerns about redistribution, like whether it's okay with them if people redistribute low-res versions of their models.

Great as always Gerald! Because of you I am now trying - trying being the operative word - to learn to model using anim8or. I tried Carrara and Raydream but scared myself. I am doing better in anim80r. Though I need to learn how to keep the polycount down. I did a pith hat via a lathed spline and used subdivision to round the corners, but guess I over did it cause I ended up with something around 5 mbs. LOL! I don't know how to reduce it yet, if that can be done, so I am starting over. Say a prayer for me. I really am all thumbs at this stuff. So you really amaze me with what you can do. :O)

Well, looks great, but you are aware that you are making a derivative figure, as Mateo mentions? I ran into this myself, when I made Supermodel Lori, who doesn't use Vickie shape, but was derived from a OBJ file that was Vickie's mesh in a new shape. DAZ kindly allowed me to give away the file using Objaction (with Vickie as the seed file), but your going to have to check to see if you are allowed to do this from whoever's mesh you started from.

How is this a derivative figure? Okay, this question is asked based on the explanation given, not on having seen the mesh used. But the way it is explaned, no mesh from a DAZ figure was used. Or am I missing something here? (Confused as usual.)

Thanks for your interest in my little figure. It's not a derivative of a Daz or CL figure. It's based upon my own earlier work.. all my stuff is free for all for any purpose. Have a close look at the mesh - not very professional. Also it won't work with any clothes other than those I make.. unless you choose to make some too! Thanks to all for their feedback, Gerald.
