Subject: Animation question (newvuer alert)

I created a very simple animation. I've rendered it twice. When I play it back in Vue I can see the objects shadow moving correctly around a static Victora - all in 'barely there' wireframe/bounding boxes. When I play it outside of Vue, I see the complete Vue scene and Victoria - but not the object I animated. Tell me this is really easy... BG

could you post 1 or 2 pic please ? 1 inside vue and 1 inside poser. it could help us to help you. Laurent

I can't post a pic at this time... I only set up Victoria in Poser 4 then took her right into Vue (never have had any problem with poser stuff in vue). The object I animated is Antons Magic lites as a group (just as it is in poser). The lites revolve around her. Nothing else is animated but the lite set. The lites are probably too high up to see - it's the wireframe in Vue that I don't understand. If I call up the animation using quick time I can see everything as it should be except the lites (that's why I think they are too high above her). A simple 5 second animation, 91 frames - took 3 hours each time I rendered it. Are you able to see rendered animations in Vue? BG (and what's up with 'delete' after my name?)

BG, without a sample image or some sample images, it is impossible to give you an advice. Especially for us Europeans. I cannot find the word "lite" or "lites" in my dictionary, so I don't know what you are speaking about.

What exactly don't you understand with the wireframe?

Where?

Vue is not an animation player. You only can see the small preview while working on your animation. The finished animation has to be read in an outside Player (Windows Media, QT...).

Thank you all for answering me. Antons 'Magic FX' from Daz is hard to explain. Sharen (sams3d) just posted a great picture in the Poser forum using it. Picture is titled "Man in the Moon". Now that I know you cannot see the final .avi in Vue I feel a lot better! And that the wireframe view is what your supposed to see. It did look right in QuickTime. Okay, so it looks like my problem is that the 'Magic FX' character/prop is too far above her to be seen. I used the 'airplane' motion so that I could plot a simple circle around Victoria. I understand that it's up high to avoid collision. As soon as I get it right I will post the render. The .avi is far too large to post. Jaqui - that's exactly what I see when I post a message... I really appreciate all your help!
