Well I'm not sure either why your system is being obnoxious! One program that does PostScript font-ing? is RayDream Studio... You could probably find it around town for cheap, and it lets you bevel the edges and whatnot. I used to use it all the time for font-making, and it exported into Bryce just fine!
Could have had a truncated file or some other pointer error in the defragging. Reload elefont and see if this fixes it. If not, try reloading Bryce and reinstalling the patch. No need to uninstall Bryce, just reinstall over the existing directory. I'm not sure if you will want to backup your libraries. I think the reinstall will pick up your existing libraries but don't quote me. I'd hate to see them overwritten with the standard presets. Out of curiosity, how badly fragged was your drive and how often do you defrag? If it gets too bad, then these kinds of things can occur. Also, are you using the windoze defragger (which really isn't all that good) or do you use something better like Ontrack or Norton?
Also send the offending files the Armin, so he can check the coding...or re-download Elefont, the program itself may be corrupt, after a major defrag, my spiralizer went haywire, so I just downloaded again and haven't had any problems...

Definetly try another download of Elefont, it's worth a shot, especially if your defrag was set to an option to optimize program startups. If that doesn't work, than your defrag could have truncated another file the single elefont executable uses, and it may not work for you again, short of wiping your hrad drive and starting over. These are just guesstaments, nothing carved in stone. Keep us informed, I want to know what works/doesn't work. AgentSmith

I am relatively new to this so please have mercy. I have been using the program Elefont - to create simple, yet quick 3 dimensional fonts that I render with Bryce 5. However, after a recent hard disk defragment session - every .DXF file that I import to Bryce from Elefont causes a fatal error in Bryce. It's also strange that all of the old fonts that I created before defragging - load and render without incident!?! I believe that somewhere in the defrag I have discombobulated a DLL file that is causing this - but if I knew how to repair it that way - I would not need assistance. Even after un and reinstalling both Bryce and Elefont 2 or 3 times - the same results occur. Elefont is free - however, I would gladly purchase a package that performs a similar function if I knew of one. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. For your consideration, I thank you.
