Yes it is. While there are some new things added to B5 like the tree lab, the rest of the program is the same. The terrain editor has a different look, but same functions and buttons. Same with the material labs. Also, the light lab is merely a collection of the lighting controls that were already available in different places in B4. Kitchen's book explains in detail a heck of a lot of stuff that you will want to know in B5. There's no other book on the market that is as detailed. You can supplement the book with Brycetec's tree lab tuts, etc. Also, here's a link to someone who turned a painting into a render. very well done job. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=960550
I seem to remember an announcement somewhere that Kitchens had officially decided not to update Real World for B5. She might have changed her mind though. I hope so, would buy it just to get her take on Tree Lab, etc.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Talked to Susan last week, she IS working on creating additional booklets on Bryce for pdf purchase and download. On the DTE, etc. Still in the works. Real World Bryce is the ONLY way to go, period. AgentSmith

I have heard a lot of great stuff about the book Real World Bryce 4. I did a search on Amazon.com and didn't find much in the way of Bryce books. As a Bryce 5 user is real world Bryce 4 still my best bet? Thanks
