Subject: ZIP vs SIT download

gew1900 ( ) posted Mon, 18 November 2002 at 5:25 PM · edited Tue, 05 November 2024 at 7:37 PM

I purchased the Aeris and Lights products from Darkhearted that said there was a PC/MAC version and when I finished filling out my credit card and other info and was then directed to the download page, the only download button was for ZIP files. (I have a MAC) What do I do (I did not push the download button yet) to be able to download SIT files for my MAC. I need help as soon as possble GW

You should post this in the "Store Contact" forum -- that's where the people you need to talk to hang out.

You'll also need Maconverter for the files that are zipped.

Products that are marked as being Mac/PC are supplied in ZIP archive format, so they are easily accessible to both PC and Mac users. If you've got Stuffit Expander installed (most new Mac have it) then you'll be able to extract the files from the archive. :o) There's a tutorial on how to install files on Mac that you might want to read - it's a real easy step by step, it will explain absolutely everything you need (trust me, I know: I wrote it lol!) Just click the link to get to the tutorial. "Mac Install Tutorial" If you need any further help, drop me a line (IM or e-mail on the site) and I'll help you get this product working on your system. Thanks for the help. I have successfully downloaded and expanded one product I bought, but the other one (Aeris) I pushed the product download button to many times (I was trying to figure out what to do... but never actually download the ZIP file) and now it said I exceeded the download attemps. What to do now. Will the system admin reset the download button for me somehow? GW
