Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 12:36 pm)
Yes your way works better, but my way would involve reams of paper and messy hair and the chance to tell people that walk in that please they just don't understand i'm an artist in the middle of synchronicious calculations involving such things as rendering and P5's. My eccentric look and manner of speaking will confirm in their minds that I am a genius, and then I wont have to use creative means to prove myself as a worthwhile person anymore and we can all go out for pizza.
I ordered mimic from them, paid like $5 for ups they sent it first class for 83 cents, and pocketed the difference in shipping charges. It came in a plastic little 5 cent case with mimic written on the disc and no manual. Furthermore they put it on sale 30% off for customer appreciation week 5 days later and I have yet to hear back on a refund of 30% off. Interestingly ironic is the 30% off is specifically called "customer appreciation week". For these reasons alone I'm certain their new program that they are developing to compete with poser will do financially well. Everyone that orders it can overpay for shipping, it won't come in a box, and the manual will be a xeroxed page saying turn on computer put in disc. Seriously if you are going to run a business do it right or step aside and proceed to get rolled over.
When is mimic 2 coming? I think i know the main problem with mimic. The bottom teeth show too much and the top teeth don't show enough. Thats why it looks like they are eating hamburgers. Nobody talks where you can see their bottom teeth that much. Oh but thats not based on renders. I havent rendered anything with mimic yet.

For people that have poser and mimic: When i run the animation in poser the frame counter is not the actual fps. So when I use mimic the dialogue is much faster than the animation. Its not until i render that they are matched up. Is this normal? HOw can i change the bar on the bottom to run at the frame rate i specify in render? It seems like if I cant it would be incredibly tedious to render everytime i need to see if a slight mouth change or timing change makes the sync look better. Basically, I want my preview timing to be what my render timing will be. Thanks
