Same here. Any problems with my images are purely "Operator Error". The software works fine. You will have to get the menu bar to appear and minimize before you can use multitasking however. You can't go to the start bar and click from bryce to poser. Bryce always dominates. Maybe it's this way in the other OS's as well.

I've seen this phenomena in both win 2000 and 98, as well as XP. I'm sure it was done on purpose.

I run 5.01 on XP Professional and the only probs I've had are the ones electroglyph mentioned. I use the Alt-Tab to switch between programs as a matter of course so it doesn't bother me all the much. Cie

I'll third what electroglyph and big hoovie said. Other than that, it works like a charm on XP Pro.

I'm running XP Home Edition and I haven't had a problem. Well, at least, no problem that the app doesn't have in any OS, such as locking up in Tree Lab if you push the numbers too high (which it did to me last night). I think moving to XP is a wise move, especially if you are running ME (which sucks IMHO). XP is definitely the most stable, user friendly OS Microsft has made.

I'm running B5 on XP home edition. I have only 2 complaints about it. It has a tendancy to crash when running Windows Media Player while working, and you cannot flip between software by the taskbar on the bottom, you have to minimize Bryce first before flipping between windows. Other than that, it's stable as a rock and fast too.

When in Bryce 5, on XP, just use the Alt-Tab combo. When activated, XP shows you a pop-up box with a visual of which softwares are open at that time, which you can then use the Tab key to move to the app you want.

That and the "windows" key does it, but has on occasion disrupted rendering and taken a long time to actualize.

I forgot about that. If rendering, you definitely want to just minimize Bryce before going to another app. I was just think about while just working in it.

I have only found one problem running on XP, my laptop will sometimes have display errors when running Bryce and an IM indicator will pop up, either from AIM or MSN. And the problem will also only occur if I keep the taskbar set to auto-hide. Otherwise, it's fine. And I don't even see that as a Bryce issue, but rather an issue with my laptop. Oh, I'm using XP Pro, by the way. I also found out the hard way that running Bryce on a Win2K Advanced Server can also be......bad...

Same as electroglyph on my dual boot ME/2k system in both OS's. However, all I have to do is move the mouse to the top and minimize, or quickly move back to the hidden lower tray. Oddly enough, ICQ or mIRC used to raise the lower tray when they went off and a few months ago that stopped. I don't know if it was loading a program that did this or not. Unfortunately, I haven't kept a log of when I load or change things in relation to oddities that occur.

B5 and XP Home , no problems at all...except when the cats race across the keboard...=)

I'm new to B5 and XP - it seems that it's reluctant to display the menus, otherwise OK.
