Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 12:36 pm)
in poser the dress is set up to bend with the model you load it on. Vicki or what ever :) to in the set up room where you boaned the dress. This is what im talking about. If this is in poser 5's cloth room then the problem is that for it to be cloth it has to be one piece and not grouped as they woth stick togeather in the cloth room.
Heya Pam, Looks to me like the joint settings need to be adjusted. I think what is happening is the mesh on either side of the joint is not set to stretch like it needs, so it breaks if it gets bent too far. I don't know all the fancy words myself for it, since I just sort of do it - trial by error and all that - and do not claim to be an expert. If you like, however, I would be glad to take a look at the dress and see what I can do to maybe fix the prob. Rob
I noticed you said you created this in rhino. Bring the mesh back into there and check to make sure the edges fo each group match exactly both in point count and in location. If they do not match exactly the mech will not get welded and you will get breaks. If the points do not match up you can fix it easily by turning point on (pton) and selecting a point on the chest and setting on snap to point and snapping it to it's corresponding point on the abdomen. If the number of points don't match then you will have more work to do by deleting points and recreating a few polygons so the edges of each group will match exactly.
gaaa, all we are doing is guessing because we can't see much here. First in the model the edges may not match up. Second in the CR2 you should have a weld section. This section follows all of the dial listings and would be right before the texture listings. Make sure you have an entry there for this part. As long as those two pieces are correct it will not break. If bend is not on then you will just see and very bad stretch between the two groups. Exporting the mesh and welding the seams doesn't matter. If the seams match exactly and you have the weld lines in the CR2 they get welded. If the seams don't match nothing will weld them.
Looks like you have the lCollar and the abdomen touching. The lCollar should only be touching the chest (and lShldr if there is one). In other words, the bottom part of the lCollar mesh should only come in contact with the chest. Looks like your model's chest does not go all the way around the model but just down the center.
