Well, since there are always movie previews out well before the movie is even finished, I figured I'd go ahead and follow suit and show a glimpse of what I'm working on. Besides, previewing well ahead of time worked really well for Batman and the Lord of the Rings, so it's a definite approach to marketing this stuff. This is the first preview of the product I'm working on right now (the Space Knight is on hold pending some assistance in the JP department since that robe is bending funny). I was noticing that, among the What's Hot here on RMP, aside from textures and more bloody modern Vicki clothes, the best selling stuff seems to be in the area of sets (like movie set, not like collection set) and quite a few good lights. So I reckoned since I seem to have made a name for myself in the uncommon niche of 'stuff that glows' (bonfires, lightsabres, etc), I should go ahead and use that to its fullest extent. And why not combine the ideas of set-props with lights? Thus the first glimpse of the Dungeon Lighting Kit. When this is done, I don't know where it will be sold -- I'm going to try for DAZ. If it doesn't make it in there, it will almost definitely be here in the RMP, along with wherever else it ends up. Except for compositing, this is not postworked. Not even the faint 'vision' swirling about in the Crystal Ball. It all renders like this in Poser. Poser 4. No kidding.

By the way -- these are being made with much, much more attention to detail and trick-effects than my free torches. Not that the free torches are anything to shake a flaming stick at. For instance: - The flames are affected by gravity using a special technique that lesbentley and I worked out. - The lights will come parented by the props. - The props will all be fully UV-mapped. Most will be textured and bumped (look at that filigree!) - Most props are/will be posable and animatable (including all of the fire props). - Most props will be morphable for custom designs (see, for instance, the foreground and background images of the ornate torch, above). All the flames are morphable. - The base flame object has been modified to make it render well from above, too!

Thanks for the comments. Check out Poser Technical for the progress on the fake omnidirectional lights which are a requisite part of this.
