With Vic3 coming out about Christmas, how about start doing some basic clothing items for the MM Boys/MMGirls? The MM boy looks a little out of place at Christmas Dinner in a T-shirt and Jeans. How about it ... can we get a Button down shirt and tie any time soon? As of the present time the HouseMouse has more clothes than the MM Boy. Thnanks Niles **** Look thru the thread for ideas of what some of your Costumers would like for the Kids*******

For the kids..and the rest of the family: A nice set of winter wear would be nice. Sweaters and turlenecks, cardigans, parkas, boots, hats, mittens, scarves, maybe even a snow suit for the little ones. Rain gear would be good too. Slickers and hats; boots and umbrellas.

Wow! Between the two of you that is a really tall order. We do have Millennium Kids clothing on a list of things to do but it is still a bit down the road (limited resources).

We have been so busy with Victoria 3 that we didn't actually make any clothing for the house mouse but people within the community did. Hopefully some of the great artists in the community can help out with some of the products listed in your wish lists above.

Unless somebody beats us to it, we will do what we can to develop more clothing for the kids. By the way, I am aware of a brokered product that will be released for the girls in the next little while.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks Dan... but Girls Girls Girls... The boy needs a Shirt with collar and buttons. Just pretend you are making it for Vicky ... Without the breast, after all the boys are made from Vic and not Mike. :) Niles

Niles, Momcat:

While you're waiting for someone to create new clothing, just a thought here ... Poser 5 is almost worth its purchase price for the new clothing items alone. The P5 figures are grouped in a manner nearly identical to the Millennium figures, and with a bit of work you could make their clothing conform to Michael, Victoria, and (I assume) the Millennium Kids, just as Imranshah adapted Posette's clothing to Victoria.

I fitted one of Judy's clubbing outfits to Victoria in the image above. It only took me a few minutes of tinkering with a CR2 and the mesh, and I'm hardly an expert at conforming clothing. The P5 Kids have dozens of clothing items that the Millennium Kids could be wearing with a little effort on someone's part.

I know she's great and all, but good grief I haven't even used Stephanie yet.

Little Dragon, Can we have a little tutorial, please? :)

I agree with Niles. People have been making things for the girls for a while now, but the boys are sadly neglected. Why no interest in them? I would love to see some period costumes for the children, especially for the boys. I have no idea how to make clothes, or I would have done some for the boys by now. My modeling skills are limited to using mostly primitives stuck together for props. Clothing is way out of my league at this point. BTW, Steve Shanks has made a winter hooded jacket for the boys over at PoserWorld in the membership section. It's a nice one. Melanie

You know, here's an odd fact: In the real-life world, it's been generally considered a "man's world" with women being discriminated against for centuries. But in the Poser universe, it seems that the women dominate. Vicki and Posette (and probably Judy soon) get all the breaks. New clothes, hair styles, props, accessories, etc. But Mike and the boys get relatively nothing and are left out. Just an interesting thought. Melanie

That is a goos tip Little Dragon. I have used P4, P5,Mike, and Vicky clothes on the Boys. I have used Magnets, scaled body parts and cloth parts, made body parts invisable, Posed the charactor and then posed the clothes... ect, ect. It would just be nice to hit "Conform to" and be done with it. Thanks Niles

FYI, PoserWorld has a few items for the MilKids if you buy a subscription.

I know PW has some stuff, got'em all... but not Boys shirt. They have a short sleave shirt for the girls, but it rides up to high for it to work on the boys. Thanks Niles

Sue88:

I loaded Victoria and the P5 outfit, manually adjusted the clothing (repositioned, posed, scaled, etc.) so that it fit her default pose, then exported the clothing item as a new OBJ mesh. In the export options dialog, I had only "Include body part names in polygon groups" and "Include existing groups in polygon groups" checked.

Then I copied the Victoria catsuit CR2 and edited it to point to the new mesh. Five minutes work. A bit crude, but functional. If I'd spent some extra time with magnets and the like to shape the mesh closer to Victoria's proportions, it would fit even better.

I don't have the Millennium Kids, so cannot repeat the experiment with the P5 kids' clothing.

Thank you, LD! I'll try this. :) I'm actually planning to try to make some clothing for the MilKids, but I don't know when I'll have the time. Soon, I hope. :)

The real world maybe a "man's world" in many respects, but IMO that it is not true when it comes to hairstyles and fashion generally. In fact, I recently got e-mailed jokes about differences between the sexes and one was that a man's hairstyle stays in fashion for decades.
