The most intersting aspect of this thread is not that the Poser 4 Horse is not included with the latest versions of Poser( as it is), but that Daz sells a product that for the bulk of its geometry uses  an obj that is included with Poser. Nothing like paying for somethign twice.

I am wondering if maybe the Poser 4 horse was not included with Poser 7. Which it appers you are using. Maybe it was not. I think there was another horse included in that release.

With the latest releases of Poser 9 and Pro 2012 Smith Micro has cleaned up and reorganized the legacy content breaking them into seperate installers and fixing bad links, missing geometry etc. That has been plaguing some pieces for quite some time. As far as I know they did not actully update the rigs, textures, objs, of this old content. so that they should all still work fine with existing supporting 3rd party content.

I honestly don't quite get the cheesy comment. I suspect they would think that Julia Roberts smile is cheesy then too. I do understand what folks are saying about the eyes, they seem wide open, but the thing is. It is possible to smile big and then open your eyes wider too. Try it. SMile wide , then open eyes with a big eye smile. Tyra banks will confirm that one.  If someone like them closed... well there is a dial to close them more..

I have to say I have been REALLY pleased with this, as I don't know if I would have been able to say hey thats Alyson base under there. Where I can pretty much say that with V4 most of the time.

I have to say. Thanks for breaking Alyson out of her shell. Its like an ackward teen who has just grown into a woman.

 I had some renders of Andy imported and Posed in Anime Studio, but can't track them down. You do have me intrigued now though.. May have to try a human figure with clothing... If I can find some time, I will post my results.

@ PhsycoNaut - I ran into a crease, yet smaller then yours when posing her and I used the Morph brush turned to Smooth. it cleared it right up. very easily. I've been using the same tactic for poke thru with clothing too since the morph brush came out. its pretty sweet.

@AndyStaples ... and your a sucker for high quality renders ;)

The textures and materials shaders work great with IDL :)

@gagnonrich - When you get her take a look at the morphs for the head. I think you might be surprised at the quality of smiles and expressiveness you can get out of her.

you know what  could provide a nice firelight glow to the room. IDL lighting. Just create a couple props.  red, orange and yellow over in direction of fireplace. turn ambiance up to like say 6  if they are not too far away. you'll have to test it based on your scene. then delete and/or turn off all lights. turn on IDL lighting manual render settings.
 only possible in Poser 8 or Pro 2010 though... It will produce a very nice natural feel to the light.

 jpeg 2000 codec supports alpha channel, but I haven't tried outputting from Poser via this codec. I always use Image files for a couple reasons.

1. png = no compression & supports alpha channels. 
2. if there is an error or crash partway through you can start at that frame next time instead of at the beginning.

I am on  a Mac OS 10.5 & use png with Photoshop CS3ext or CS4ext all the time. import the image sequence as a movie, drop a background in and a logo. no problems.

try rendering to an image sequence instead.
you can go to the destination folder and view the completed frames while Poser is still rendering the rest. If you notice something wrong, cancel  and fix.

honestly I could only guess at what went wrong.  maybe you  applied those walks to a new layer for each figure and that layer got turned off  before  you rendered the final version?
