Thread: Specs for new Computer? | Forum: Bryce
Looks like an pretty nice system.
I'm an AMD, guy and I'd put in as much ram as I could afford. They are nice specs just as you thew 'em up there though.
I agree, those 19' WS just don't look right to me.
I have Dual 17" monitors on my main system now. I'd do Dual monitors instead of one larger one. Especially one a wide screen. I usually have reference material up on one screen and work on the other etc.
And a Dual monitor system is surprisingly easy to set up with windows XP. Just make sure your card supports it or you have room for another Video card.
As a side note Windows Vista is recommending 2gig of Ram to feed its needs. :P
Finally everyone askes; "Why only 17's not 2 19's, or 20's?" My reply; "Ahhh..cause. I sit less then a foot away from them." :P

Ack. Agent Smith. Hope you had a freind pay for your second HD. The rebate is only for 1 per customer.
Got the same HD. Get one every year. Always wait for BF to get HDs, Displays, and jumpdrives.
Also got the 7.98 1gig jumpdrive. :)
Just have to go early and get in line. Stuff like that flys out of the store. We got there at 5:15 and was 50+ people back. By the time the store opened had to be at least 300 people in line.

Hello there. And welcome. I've been using Byce 6 since it came out, and Bryce 5.5 before that.
But I can't really tell you much about HDRI and IBL because I haven't been playing in that corner yet. :(

3 - Dan Whiteside - Excellent coherent scene.
2 - Nukeboy - Good posing and overall "story" within the image.
1 - Maleny - Nice usage of a 2d photo plain. (If I'm right. :P)
Is it just me or is Dan's main image, not there after you click the thumb? Doesn't matter checked it out on the thread.
Thread: Next Challenge? | Forum: Bryce
I think every 2 months would "Up" the quality of the submissions and give people plenty of time.
My only suggestion would be to end it on the 3rd week of the second month for a week of voting(The last week.) Then declare the winner on the 1st.
And the winner get the next challenge started by selecting the theme by like the 5th or so of the month. If the winner can't come up with something we have an default list thats used.
And above all stick to whatever timeline thats chosen. Especially for the finial submission date. It is completly unfair for those that get theirs done on time to move the dates.
Yea, and not being able to upload your submission would be bad, so a fix is needed for those browsers.
Or at least and alternate way of getting it in, like E-mailing it to someone with power. :P
Thread: July Bryce Challenge Idea. - Lights Camera Action!! | Forum: Bryce
Okay, Whats going on with the challenge? It's now mid. Sept. We could have been into the Sept. challenge by a week.
This is really unfair to people the work to get their submissions in on time. If the forum can't keep to any type of consistency, don't post a challenge.
If it takes 3 months to get a challenge done then give the timeframe as being so. So that we all have the same amount of time to "Tweak" our images.
So anyway now that I've ranted. Whats the "Bleeps" Up?

Hello there. Tie seems a good solution.

Have a few questions. How often do you guys run Challenges and how good do you stick to the Timeline of the challenges?

Okay, get the point Bryster.
Then I'd forgo for this month or so to take care of the "Life" stuff. I'm not trying to be a hard ass, but seems that this challenge thing is always getting "Extensions." or Delayed etc.
Place the dates and let 'em stand. Don't get your entry in. Oh, well. Just do the next months. No worries. It's not like anyone's going to show up to take ya away if you miss one.
