Thread: Intel or AMD? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's always been AMD here as well. They're reliable and generally rated to clock higher than a similar Intel chip. They do run hotter though, and hotter usually means more cooling needed.... which in turn sometimes means louder fans if you don't shop carefully. This fan has finally driven me nuts, it's putting out about 28db, I just bought a replacement that claims to put out 16db while moving more cfm's. We'll see about that. ;) I also agree about the nVidia video card. Try to get one with at least 256 megs of memory on it. It makes a huge difference when doing anything graphics-intensive. And don't blow more cash than you have to, price the stuff at tigerdirect.com first. You can put your own system together for about half what it would cost buying one premade with similar specs. They also ship stuff out amazingly fast, two or three days is the usual wait. Man I love them. lol
Thread: Has anyone uninstalled Poser 6 since getting 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Everybody is laughing too hard to reply. ;) So I take it you can export a large jpg render (3 or 4 characters, 1200x1000 or so) from P7 and it ends up being more then 60-70kb? Do a comparison render with P6 and P7, same pz3. When you export/save the image use the "max quality 100" compression setting in P6, use whatever compression setting you want in P7 - it doesn't matter what you put because the setting doesn't appear to change anything in P7. Then compare the images, my P6 still produces better images, the same image out of P7 is just not very clear. Universal poses, that's cool. Multiple undo's is cool too. I guess the putty tool is alright. But... the bottom line for me is I just can't get P7 to output the quality of image that I can with P6. I also tried exporting TIF's and PSD's and saving the final from PShop, the resulting image still lacks depth or real clarity. Somebody set me straight if I'm wrong, maybe I've just totally missed some crucial P7 render setting - but I don't think that's the case.

This really looks great, what's next? As for the "less naked but still sexy" thing, that center strip on her butt could be widened and join the two (on either side) at a lower point. Still showing some cheek - but less might be sexier. ;)

Mapps has a free A3 head magnet set for making morphs. Page 8 of the downloads. You can also get some A3 morphs already done on page 7.Thread: BluEcho's P7 Sydney textures now in freestuff!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The file crapped out at the very end but I hit the resume and it finished fine. Unzipped just fine using Winzip. My advice is to pull that psd file out, that's a large chunk, and resize those textures. A 63 mb file linked to from here will kill just about any site's bandwidth in a short period of time. You could also split it up and upload it to a filesharing site like 4shared.com or savefile.com to take the hit. Thanks for your efforts though, appreciate all of your time and hard work on it.

Yikes, 30mb so far! Thanks for sharing and I hope the bandwidth doesn't kill your site =)
