Get the 4070. I have the 4070 Ti and I haven't had anything that even slowed it down significantly for Superfly. I used some benchmark scenes from the freebies here when we built this computer and I was absolutely flabbergasted by the difference between my old one and this. As in, complex scenes now take minutes.

Submit a ticket at posersoftware dot com and provide your serial number. The team should be able to help with obtaining the files.
Thread: Just an observation...the Reload Textures function is not working. | Forum: Poser 13
Sorry, not factual. Use Cache is a Poser 13 function, definitely not a decade old. Let's not mush things together.

I would say Physical Surface would be the best for now--I like Cycles for skin a lot, but the Physical Surface offers a good transitional root for recovering Firefly users.

I use it from time to time to create maps for older textures. It is good if the inputted image is good quality, absolute trash if the inputted image is low-rez.I remember playing with a free app a couple of years ago (it's on my old computer) named Materialize. You make your own pbr image files. It was pretty easy, IIRC.

Materialize is a stand alone tool for creating materials for use in games from images. You can create an entire material from a single image or import the textures you have and generate the textures you need.

Way to be condescending and losing your audience who otherwise may have agreed with some of your points like the utter and perplexing lack of updated tutorials. Ageism never looks well when used in an argument.
I am using Poser 11, as it's nearly rock solid for animating as it just does not crash at all with animate window. Poser 11+ and 12 crashes when you just skip frames a bit faster.
In the end, there is exactly no reason to get Poser if you already use it for 20 years and too old and lazy to learn Blender even Daz.
Thread: Feel like I’m losing renders | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Your computer may not have sufficient memory to render AND do something else, and that's why it stops. What are your memory specifications and your graphics card? Grey screen means no rendering was done OR that it rendered but something obstructed the camera and all it saw was a, well, grey wall.
The render command is here, just in case:
You have to select it for the operation to commence. At least you have to do that on PC.

Go to the Window menu and click Recent Renders. That should display everything you had rendered in a while in a separate window. What do you see? That should be your first step.
Then tell us how do you render. What are your steps? Where do you export your renders to? We need that information to help you.
