@3dcheapskate There is a possibility that it's a game ready asset as some engines use the RGBA channels for supplementary maps, like normals. Open the original PNG in an image editor and look at the separate channels. If there are normal in the alpha slot, that would explain it looking normal when saved as jpg as jpg doesn't retain the alpha channel iirc.

Have a decent flow now. Code creation on my wsl side w/ Netherworks' Scripts Auto Launch pane open and just hit "launch now" to test the script. /happy

Embedding morphs in a prop I never bothered learning since the only real creation stuff I did in Poser was for Dawn, which used pmd morphs. For those I use D3D's Binary Morph Editor.
Looks like it might be as simple as just loading your prop, getting the morphs into it, setting your dials and whatnot, then saving it back out and just uncheck "binary morph targets". https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2812085

So, the plugs in the pack don't deform with the figure. They're smart parented to the figure's head, but also include morphs of their own to account for translation issues. If you morph V4's head, the plugs stay in place and require manual tweaking for figures that aren't included in the props' morphs. Ignore the lack of transparency. I don't have Advanced Shaders installed to apply the maps.

I think there's a misunderstanding somewhere. What you call "ear dobbs" I'm assuming you mean plugs. Round discs that go into stretched ears, usually tapered or grooved w/ rubber rings to prevent them from falling out.
I'll take a look at metal madness and see how they pulled it off.

Ok, I've realized that the "mode" shortcuts in the hidden shortcuts are named something different in the key preferences, ie Pose Mode (hidden) -> Select Actor (key prefs).
What I can't find is where to remap XY Translate, Z Translate, Pivot, and Axis Constraint. Also, if there's a way to reverse zoom natively. Right now I use Netherworks' Camera Panel Plus to do it.

I'm assuming you're talking about plugs. If you have Metal Madness over at Daz, it comes with V4/Poser compatible tunnels, which are basically hollow plugs, that you could dissect and see how they work. If not, let me know and I can open it up and take a look.

Unfortunately, HDRShop is no longer available, it was an excellent app to over-/under-expose an image and then combined to generate an HDRI. It's a hack but it's a great way to take a hi-res jpeg and use the image and light data in Poser.
You can technically do it in any app that supports setting exposure values. Just need something to merge them together. I don't personally create HDRs out of single exposure images (I prefer tripod+DSLR and creating the ev steps in-camera), but I know Affinity Photo can do both. Use the develop persona to create something like -4, -2, 0, 2, 4 out of the original (which would be the 0), then use file > hdr merge and import them all there.

All HDR sky maps are free in 2048×1024 size.
Which is garbage quality if you intend on using the HDRI to get a matching ground plane as well. It'd be too blurry for anything close to the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsAUfQlZH_w

Try HDRI Haven. All free. So far the largest resolution I've seen on there was 20k which was between 500-600mb.
