Thread: Eve4 Skin Texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No issues here either. All of my P4fem textures work great on Eve4, unless of course they're mis-aligned to begin with. You'll also have to re-apply the texture to certain elements individually, such as the lips, nipples, etc. to get it to look "right".

I believe that's a shadow. If you want a moustach, DAZ is selling a Moustach Morph for Vicki 2.0 for $19.95, maps sold seperately. ^_^

Looks great, love the eyes and hair! See? Why spend $50 for JUST A MODEL (i.e. no textures, clothes, hair)??

Wow! Wasn't aware of all the great free stuff. Stupid CNET/download.com soured me on free 3D modelers. Nothing like downloading 37 megabytes (on a dialup) and then finding out the program does next to nothing!
Thread: Poser and Bryce? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser-to-Bryce: Export figures as a wavefront obj, import into Bryce. You will need to re-texture everything, and without Bryce4 you can't do transmaps. Bryce-to-Poser: Save your image render, import as a background image into Poser. This is overly simplified, there are plenty of tutorials available here at Renderosity.

I'm just venturing into this myself. Any program that exports into ".obj" format should fit the bill. I'm using LightWave, which comes with plug-ins to import/export .obj files. 3D Studio Max also requires plug-ins for .obj support. I've seen many tutorials mention Ray Dream Studio, and it supports .obj files "out-of-the-box." I prefer LightWave because they simply labeled each tool/function in text rather than fancy pictures, and it's a very powerful program in it's own right. There should be demos available on the web for above-mentioned, I can only recommend finding an interface that you're comfortable with.
Thread: Win.2000 and Poser4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In my experience, Poser4 runs GREAT under Win2000; that's what I'm running it under now (NTFS partition).
Thread: How to make a object poseable tutorial done | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, done already! I can't wait to get started. I also read the tutorials by Bushi earlier tonight (http://bushi3d.com) and they complimented each other nicely. Bushi explained the PHI editing a bit more in depth, but you covered more of my personal questions and explained the overall process much more thoroughly (i.e. the CR2 tutorial, joints). Now all I need is some experience with my modeling app. ^_^ Thanks again! You've earned a credit in all my proceeding work!

Yikes. It must be the Default Poser4 Guy; he was depressed because everyone kept focusing on his "dorkness" and not his real, worth-while qualities. May he rest in peace.
Thread: Adding Props to Scenes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To clarify, I've never used "conform to" on a prop, like Gawain mentions. I conform clothing and parent props...

Amp3, set to "conform to"? Never tried this! Sometimes the conform option isn't available so I've always used the "set parent" option. I have been able to successfully add hand guns, etc., to my posers using this technique. I usually position the gun manually with the x,y,z dials then set the parent to the right/left hand. Works beautifully for poses and/or animation.
