Errr... Could you please explain to me this part: I used an 'add' operator in the shader part of a 'gradient' color, and two mixers (one with a horizontal and one with a vertical gradient) If I could have a screen shot, that'd be great. Thanks!

Thanx Scott for your comments. No wonder I had some problems when trying to use lights with objects with transparency channel applied on it. I'll try to use your technique on my next project. Here is the WIP I'm working on with the transparency channel. The objects I used are pretty far away from the camera. Two picture of people fighting. Those pictures were mapped onto two planes. I could have used Photoshop to do it, but since I'm trying to learn Carrara, I wanted to do as much work as possible inside Carrara. And I have plans on using this technique on other projects too.Thread: About Carrara Training CD | Forum: Carrara
Thanx for your advise guys. I'm going to get the CD. Since I'm not Bill Gates' nephew so I need to be really sure about the quality of the product before purchasing it. I was wondering if anyone has wrote any books about CS2? The only one I found was for Carrara1. Is it any good? Since there are many many 3D softs out there, I have decided to focus on only a few of them (2 or 3 ) and learn them inside out before "upgrading" to the heavy ones. I've decided to focus on Carrara (for rendering) and Amapi (for modeling). I've heard that a book on Amapi 7 will soon be published. Anyone has an idea about the exact date?

Thank you so much Mark. I must admit that I spent some time trying to figure it out. You just became my new hero! :) Thanx again.

I'm new to Carrara and I'm new to 3D. And Carrara seems to be one of the easiest to learn. That's why I want to master it before going to the bigger softs. I learn that Amapi and ZBrush were pretty easy to learn too.
