Thanks Tyger - sounds like its what I need to clean up the old libraries before I start moving them around...

Thanks for some quick responses!
(And it would also make my life easier if Content Creators would use their names - **WITHOUT the "!" and other characters to get to the top of the $!£"ing list!)

PBoost looks handy, I'll read some more about that, it could help. CR Pro also sounds like it could save me a lot of time!
Do people feel that these programs are reasonably easy to use?Â

Quote - The IT.A.02 (standard, water and fire) and IT.A.03 Bioborg work with V1 or V2 and V3 with "Vicki 3 to Vicki 2 sr1" (in bundle with V3 product) Best regards; Andygraph

Quote - starbase1, what ITA 02 product do you have ?
Only the basic ITA 02 package works with V3toV2 SAE.
(http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=9162)BTW, Vicky 1 and 2 are more expensive than Vicky 3 because all morphs are already included.
The (free) Vicky 3 only comes with a few basic head morphs, and the morphs have to be purchased separately.stahlratte
Yep, that's the one I have.
And thanks the pricing makes a bit more sense now!

Thread: Converting Lightwave Objects for use in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use poser and lightwave quite a bit - more LW than P...
A much under rated tool for converting objects is Accutrans 3d. It's fully functional shareware, cheap to register, and and does a superb job of translating between formats. It can do quite a bit of cleaning up as it goes too, and the author is VERY helpful.
For more heavy duty stuff with Poser in Lightwave, Greenbriar Tools is pretty powerful, (and also available for other 3d packages). I use it mainly for getting poser content into lightwave. It can get a bit more pricey with all the modules, but it does a good job. It's the best one I know for getting textures intact between programs.

It's got some rather impressive options for getting models the other way too.
For using poser stuff in lightwave on the cheap I made a tutorial:

Part 2 still not written which will cover animating.

Thanks for responding here Andygraph. In case it helps other people:
HI,<br></br>So, if you have V3 you will have the "Vicki 3 to Vicki<br></br>2 sr1.cr2"<br></br>in this path:<br></br>runtime/libraries/character/DAZ People/Vicki 3 to<br></br>Vicki 2 sr1.cr2<br></br><br></br>more infos:<br></br><a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.daz3d.com/support/faq/index.php?id=12">http://www.daz3d.com/support/faq/index.php?id=12</a><br></br><br></br>the template of Vicki 3 to Vicki 2 sr1 is the same of<br></br><br></br>===========================<br></br><br></br>Now the nearest thing I can find to this file name is "Vicki 3 to Vick 2 SAE.cr2", close but no cigar.<br></br><span style="font-family:Arial, Verdana, 'Sans-Serif';"><br></br>I also followed the Daz link - it confirms what the files are for, but I am still no wiser on how to actually use them!<br></br><br></br>RandyM - I have never tried editting files manually as you suggest - is it straightforward?<br></br><br></br>Thing is I still get the feeling from Andygraphs notes that this kind of hack should not be necessary? Thanks for the ideas - it all makes sense, but the product said it could be made to work using this tool? I sent a request for info on how to the author, but no response as yet.
It does seem a bit odd that V3 is free, but the inferior V2 is not!

Thread: Vue 5 Infinite process priority | Forum: Vue
I'm on Windows Xp pro, and the latest patch Vue 5 infinite.
It lowers its priority when sent to the background, always on my machine. It does make a difference to render time, if it is competing with another process for CPU...
If I want it to render in backkground, it works if I minimize then change the prioirty...
Very odd, but at least it's now predictable.

Thread: Vue 5 Infinite process priority | Forum: Vue
Well, there are always a lot of things running - but I have never ever seen a process that dynamically changes it's own priority class downwards before...
