Thread: *** Poser 5 Firefly Renders - NO POSTWORK *** | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks again Brian; as you may have guessed, I've held off patching my "vanilla" install of P5 until "the dust settles". Will definitely try out Don's FBMs later!

"My God! Is that Michael in the first pic? Love the "sweaty" texture and facial/body morphs! Drooliscious!" Thanks for the info Anthony and Brian; who knew Don could look so good after a spin in the face room! Now that's a soulful brotha! Incidentally, how were the muscle morphs (or scaling?) for the body done? Keep up the good work; Cheers! Arendar

Yes, it's a smart move by Curious Labs to release the manual early, i.e. as a means to get more info out on the features of Poser 5. I think "collision detection" and dynamic cloth, are going to be absolutely brilliant; can't wait for my pre-order to arrive! (Screams: Hurry up UPS!)

Thread: Transferring full body morphs between compatible characters (CR2 files) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think I just may have had a moment of enlightment: Full Body Morphs (FBMs) are not really morphs but control dials that affect the figure "globally" or "remotely". The "real" morphs are in each specific body part that they were created for, i.e. partial body morphs (PBMs). As the head is a specific body part, combined morphs from M2 may be transferred successfully to M1 without the original M2 morphs being present in the target M2 CR2, i.e. the combined morph consists of the relevant M2 morphs being copied over. Doh!
Thread: Transferring full body morphs between compatible characters (CR2 files) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Jaager, Okay, I managed to copy/transfer a full body morph (FBM) from Michael v2.0 (M2) to Michael V1.0 (M1) using the rename M2 source CR2 to PZ2 and copying to the target M1 CR2 via Morph Manager v4.0 (MM4). The control dial for the FBM shows up in my target M1 CR2 but does nothing when I use it. Am I correct in concluding that the reason for this is that: all the (relevant) partial body morphs (PBMs) addressed by the copied FBM of the M2 source CR2, e.g in each specific body part, would also have to be present (i.e. copied over to) in my target M1 CR2 in order for the copied FBM to work? If the above is true: ARRRGH! (Slaps his head) What I was trying to do was to use a M2 full body morph in an M1 character to reduce the size of the final CR2. As M2 is almost 3 times the size of M1, it becomes a real strain on system resources when I have more than one M2 running around in a scene, not to mention other figures and accessories! In this connection, could you kindly explain why I am able to successfully transfer a combined face morph (via MM4) from M2 to M1 which works without the source M2 PBMs present in the target M1 CR2? Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for the great comparative renders of the available Muscular Mikes; personally, I like the wide upper body of Drax's "Musclebound Michael", the back and biceps of Capsces/Beth's "Boris", and the abs and legs and DAZ's Michael v2.0 (Muscle4). I have both Drax's (still waiting for the v1.2 update!) and Capsces/Beth's wonderful models (great work people!) and will definitely be getting DAZ's Michael v2.0, from what I've seen above. Can't wait to play "Dr Frankenstein" for the "ultimate" Muscular Mike! Muhahaha... Hail to Wyrmmaster, who starting the Mike beefcakes rolling! Wishing all a very Happy New Year!
Thread: TravisB's Tribal for Massive Mike: new download? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Thanks for the quick response, Travis. Got the new head texture from the Gallery and left my comments there; saw your other works featuring the Tribal character in action for the first time too; awesome renders! Don't worry about the compensation, Travis, I'm not looking for a refund here. I think you have been good in trying to fix the Tribal files and I really, really want this excellent character (working in Poser 4). Glad to know that you will have a website up in 1 to 2 weeks. Keep me posted on that; perhaps I could download the updated Tribal character from there. Let's keep in touch, cheers!
Thread: TravisB's Tribal for Massive Mike: new download? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hi Jeff, The price difference is not a major concern of mine; would it be possible for me to download the updated texture files from the Store, i.e. from "My Purchases". Since the revised product is now in the Store, would appreciate it if this could be done since the download period for my purchase of the original Tribal1006.zip is still valid.
Thread: Problem with TravisB's Tribal Character on Renderosity Store | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Thanks Jeff, it may be more than a missing JPG; a "hunter2.obj" was indicated to be missing by Poser 4 just before the character load process was terminated. Well, at least I have the texture/bump map to play with in the meanwhile!
