Yay me! Although a little disappointed no one else entered... was looking forward to what others may have created.

Just out of curiosity Dale, do you have Preview Drawings set to OpenGL Hardware? Might be unrelated, but I use to have issues with the old library in versions of Poser I used prior to Poser Pro 2014, so I had to use SreeD Software. I know it's a long shot, with this being an all new library 'n' all, but couldn't hurt to try it.

This will be a cool one to watch. Big fan of '80s and early '90s movie promo art. In fact, that's exactly what inspired me when creating a mock cover/poster for my game Soulless. https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/soulless/2515778/

The difference between D|S & Poser and pricing really comes down to features and what use you'll get with them. DAZ even tried charging for its own Pro version at a time. You really have to try them both to see what works best for you, we all have a different workflow and different uses.
With that said... I do miss free trials of Poser. I've got a really nice 'n' comfy setup with Poser Pro 2014 making me very unsure how much the upgrade will benefit me or even if there are some draw backs or two... that and the Australian dollar being so weak makes it even more of a hit to my almost empty pockets.

Thread: Really unhappy with the new site design | Forum: Community Center
Thank you for replying Kimberly,
I know ad blockers can take out the banner ads... so I could do that... but the promoted items are another story. I wish it were a lot more like eBay, where the paid to be promoted products only appear at the top of a search query that is actually related. While I'm not looking for anything right now (found what I was after at DAZ), lets say I do a search for walls or a fortress. The very sexualised images of what was getting put before what I was actually searching for (poses or possibly underwear items for V4 or later), wouldn't have been the most fun thing to explain to my wife... even though I wasn't searching for anything even remotely related.
As for screen real-estate, with my comments of loosing one third of the screen, I don't browse fullscreen. So it isn't an exaggeration, the side bar full of images promoting other non-related items is literally taking up at least one third of my screen.
Anyway, that's enough of my complaint I guess. I really preferred how the site use to be, and really hope even if it doesn't get reverted back... the site will at least become a bit more user friendly again since it is a shame to not see Renderosity as my preferred market after the years of shopping here. In Renderosity's defence, search results are still more accurate than RuntimeDNA's... provided I ignore and scroll pass all the promoted results that shouldn't even be there IMO.
Anyway, thanks for reading through my issue with the current site design.

Personally, I would just open the PZ3 in a text editor and find/replace all the J drive references to F.

Thread: How do you think the new Daz 4 compares to Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Figure incompatibility certainly isn't a new thing between the two. It was thanks to being a DAZ Studio user I took so long to adopt AnimeDoll. I didn't want to get her until I had a male counterpart to go with her, but AD Boy wasn't compatible with DAZ Studio 2. So I had to wait until DS3.

How does DAZ Studio 4 compare to Poser?
Well it was DS4 that made me a Poser user haha.

Thread: Any thoughts aboout Poser Debut? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Content Paradise offers a 30 day money back deal doesn't it?
If so I say go for it. I made the jump from DAZ Studio to Poser Debut and have been really happy with the decision. It even has video tutorials built-in to help you quickly learn the different interface.
One observation I made really early on is that my scenes save SO much faster than they did in DS... I only wish there was a way to open DS scenes in Poser instead of having to recreate them from scratch (thanks for using proprietary file formats DAZ ).

I can understand why, not much to see there haha.
So this forum topic has been so very helpful for me getting around this little dilemma.
Since I just use the Anime EX Shaders for everything else, I was just missing the ability to make selected surfaces truly transparent.
So thank you LaurieA and everyone else for your help.

Thread: Whatever happened to Whatever3d.com? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I loved using it to dig up AnimeDoll stuff from the past... so if you got a site mail from me here (old username CobraV1) wanting to still buy your discontinued AnimeDoll products it was thanks to Whatever3D finding it for me (on that note I am always interested in new AnimeDoll / AD Boy products & freebies).
Not looking good at all... no Whatever3D at all, now just a GoDaddy page...
