Thread: Modelers used with Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Z-brush has to take the cake when it comes to texture maps, the pure simplicity of it is mind blowing in itself. It's one of those can't live without programs.

there is a spear prop here http://www.greylight.com/poserweapons.html and as for the clothes, the clothing pack from daz has shirts and pants that would probably work. (Might need to tweak the spear a bit) Hope this helps.
Thread: OT: Thanks to all | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's no such thing as a dumb question, when I first started modelling, I had no idea what extrude meant let alone how to do it and now it's second nature. For every question placed in this forum, the people who answer have asked the same question at one point or another. It's all about the learning.

Lightwave has the option to export as .obj, so if you export then load the model into uv mapper, you can create a texture map for your model and work from there.

The ultimate question... "What are the parameter dials?" seen that question a while back on a poser forum though I can't remember which one. I believe there were roughly 30 replies of 'read the manual'!!

Thread: Question for the clothes modelers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It all depends on what type of clothing that I want to create. Personally, I like to make my dynamic clothing out of just one mesh for the fact that it seems to be quicker when calculating. If the clothing is going to be conforming, then I find it easier to work with multiple meshes and and just bridge the gaps. Doing it that way, then if I have a problem, I just have to edit one part at a time.
Thread: Help.. weird prop preview problem... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had that problem when I made a texture for the freak, the eye mats would appear with no thexture, even though they were loaded. Then I noticed that the dial on the bottom of the texture node was at 0.00, changed that to 1.00 and it fixed the problem.

Thankfully my wife makes all her clothes, so I just follow suit. (Though I find myself at the fabric shops going "now that material would make a great texture for a new vicky dress!"
