Rebekah, I can understand that for an item that is currently loaded, but it saves it that way to the library or scene file. So when you open Poser later and load that item or scene file, it's finding the texture somehow and loading it - without the pathnames.

drawbridge, if you didn't receive the newsletter, do you have a spam filter set up? If so, check to see if its been put into your spam folder. My ISP has recently been doing that to about five out of 25 e-mails from daz. If not ... check your profile to make sure that the receive Bryce newsletter option is selected. And no, you don't get a voucher for being in the newsletter, did you not get one for being in the gallery? I picked out one of my favorite images in the galley and you were it. :P
I've added a link above to the newsletter just in case.

Hanley Landry uses those light semi-domes when rendering in Bryce. It adds a lot to the render times, but the results are worth it.Thread: Frustrated! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That never worked for me Diolma, I've tried and tried. I always have to switch rooms. I'm glad it works for you however.

Also, you may have to switch rooms before the dials will show in the pose room. If switching rooms doesn't work, close the paremeters panel, then switch rooms, then reopen the parameters panel.

DAZ isn't leaving the users out to dry. They are working very hard on 5.5. Corel tried with v5 to add capabilities to Bryce and had begun on v6. They had quite a bit done before their resources dried up. Despite what they ended up doing to Bryce, I believe they had good intentions whether they initially wanted the program or not. I just don't think they understood the scope of the problem or the loyalty/fanatiscm of the user base. Just give DAZ a chance folks, please.

Nooo, Darlisa is not doing a Masters Series Tutorial ... I don't consider myself in that category. However, with almost 15 years of documentation QA, technical editing, and writing user manuals and requirements documentation, I am involved in the formatting and technical editing of the tutorials.

I'm sorry you think my answer was 'cold' but these wishlists have been brought up time and time again and the threads just disappear into oblivion among all the other threads. Posting it in the Wishlist thread would ensure it wouldn't get lost and getting comments from users is good (not that they will help though), but it won't be seen by DAZ if it's not in the Wishlist thread since they don't monitor the forums as a whole. It's easier for DAZ to monitor one thread than for me to monitor 500 threads and keep sending them to DAZ. -darlisa
Thread: Bryce 5 update patches? | Forum: Bryce
Yup ... when I first started putting my Bryce stuff up on the web, I called it Jelisa's Place, 'Je' from my sister Jessica's name, and 'lisa' from my name.

So sorry to hear about your little one, Rudy. My own black fur ball means everything to me and even thinking that someone else will lose their own hurts. Hugs ...

You guys can't expect the kind of improvements you've mentioned here for 5.5. Give them a break people. There's still Bryce 6 and 7 and ... You may have waited 4-5 years but DAZ has only had the program a few months. They've had to figure out what the code was doing before anything could be fixed, updated, or added. People have been asking for an easier way to import Poser figures into Bryce and this was a major addition that DAZ could do in the time they had. Don't use it if you don't need it but for those of us who use figures in Bryce a lot ... well I for one am delighted. The render time examples were just from one person's scenes. Someone with a different machine would have different results. Just the second scene alone saw a 30% reduction in render time. That's nothing to sneeze at folks.

The Bad I/O Media error is the #IND that gets added by the PC Poser Pro Pack. It can be fixed by removing the #IND either in a text editor, by using Grouper, or by using MeTaL Fixer - or exporting from DS and avoiding the export error. http://www.fignations.com/jelisa/tutorials/propack.html#badmedia http://www.castironflamingo.com/tutorial/grouper/index.html - Grouper http://www.fignations.com/jelisa/mtl/mtl_fixer.html - MeTaL Fixer
